Such a nice cosy Vietnamese restaurant in Dublin. Ordered the pho dac biet. Broth was deep and flavoursome but also nice and light. Meat was perfectly sliced to cook in the soup. Meat portion was generous. Very traditional Vietnamese dish, bested only by my grandmothers! Will definitely come back!

When you go to a restaurant what is your priority? Is it:

A. Excellent food
B. Great service
C. Pretty decor

If A comes up trumps every time, then head down to Parnell Street and grab a table in Pho Viet!

Get any of the bowls of Pho on offer and you won’t be disappointed. Go with an empty stomach and leave happy and feeling like you’ll never need to eat again! Note that you can take a doggy bag away if you don’t finish.. it’s just as good the next day too!

There are condiments on the table and a dish of additives such as lemon, coriander, bean sprouts etc. I encourage you to taste before you go mad with them. I usually add the bean sprouts and some of the chili (tastes like sriracha) sauce and slurp for as long as my stomach will allow me!

Reasonably priced and when you look at the quality of the food, it is really a steal!

GO GO GO!

I had the pho noodle soup with brisket and it was pretty good. The broth was tasty and the brisket was well cooked. The veggie spring rolls I had for starter were fantastic, despite being small!
The staff is polite and quick. The place, despite having good lighting, is not extremely cozy, and the background music was slightly off-putting.
I thought the soup quantity was pretty satisfying, but I'm used to eating pho for slightly lower prices, which makes me refrain from giving the place a higher score.

I ordered the raw sliced beef noodle soup and was very yummy. The portion was generous and the broth was quite tasty too. Even the ginger tea was made from fresh sliced ginger. Will definitely go back.

Dilemma - do I order the hearty Pho (bowl of soupy noodles) or the crispy pancake?? Solution - order both. I normally like to try different dishes but I can't help ordering the same thing every time I eat here. I have prawn pancake for starter (it's also a main). It comes with sides such as dipping sauce and lots of herbs like mint, coriander, lettuce and bean sprouts. The waiter was so nice and explained to me that there is the traditional way to eat it is to pick it up in your hands and wrap it all up together and dip it but I ate it the non traditional way (very boring) with my knife and fork. So crispy and delicious. It was light and tasty.

Then for my very exciting main (rubs hands together) came my beef noodle soup. I think the broth is out of this world - I can't ever imagine re-creating this taste at home. I guess it involves boiling lots of bones over a long time. But I'm glad to come here and let them serve me this gorgeous dish. Again this comes with it's own set of sides such as herbs, beansprouts, fresh chili and lemon to squeeze over it. It tastes so fresh, zingy, spicy and hearty at the same time. When it first comes out it looks like a massive bowl but I always manage to get to the end of it - it's too hard to stop eating.

I like to digest my meal with a lovely Vietnamese coffee, it's so exciting. The coffee cup comes with a steel decanter on top of it and the coffee drips down into your cup. It is served with condensed milk so its sweeter than I normally take my coffee but it's worth it for the novelty factor.

The staff are so nice here. They are very friendly and it is a family run business. To top it all off, its BYOB also.

I was very well impressed by this place. The food was great. Pho was tasty and well served. The staff was very friendly. And in the end the price is very affordable.

Since having pho in London a couple of years ago I've been hoping to find somewhere in Dublin doing it and now I'm delighted to report that it's happened. That said...I actually had the curry while the Mrs had something called a bun (it's a type of main) but both were superb both in quality and value. This is cheap, healthy food made out of fresh ingredients that taste amazing. And all for roughly the same price as, say, Eddie Rockets - what more could you ask for! Well next time I'll be asking for pho.

Massively impressed with this affordable and delicious little spot; great food, great service, great prices - already planning our next visit! Highly recommend the 'bun' dishes with vermicelli noodles and salad; light and lovely.

I love this place. Had Pho the first time I went and it was very nice, but I always get the Bun these days. It's a Vermicelli noodle salad with really tasty meat, veg, chili, mint and a delicious dipping fish sauce to pour over. It's just so fresh and tastes great - healthy enough too - I usually go for the Pork and Prawn one. No. 18 on the menu.

This place is probably the best Vietnamese restaurant in Dublin at the moment. Situated on Parnell St, in the heart of Dublin's unofficial chinatown, it's a nice little spot, with great food. Their Pho is super (I usually go for the Pho Dac with rare steak, and beef ball) and is particularly good on cold winter days. They've got a great selection of other vietnamese dishes also, including their rice paper rolls (goi cuon) which I usually get to start. I don't find myself in that area at lunchtime too often, so when I am I always do my best to stop into Pho Viet for some grub.
