Such a nice cosy Vietnamese restaurant in Dublin. Ordered the pho dac biet. Broth was deep and flavoursome but also nice and light. Meat was perfectly sliced to cook in the soup. Meat portion was generous. Very traditional Vietnamese dish, bested only by my grandmothers! Will definitely come back!
When you go to a restaurant what is your priority? Is it:
A. Excellent food
B. Great service
C. Pretty decor
If A comes up trumps every time, then head down to Parnell Street and grab a table in Pho Viet!
Get any of the bowls of Pho on offer and you won’t be disappointed. Go with an empty stomach and leave happy and feeling like you’ll never need to eat again! Note that you can take a doggy bag away if you don’t finish.. it’s just as good the next day too!
There are condiments on the table and a dish of additives such as lemon, coriander, bean sprouts etc. I encourage you to taste before you go mad with them. I usually add the bean sprouts and some of the chili (tastes like sriracha) sauce and slurp for as long as my stomach will allow me!
Reasonably priced and when you look at the quality of the food, it is really a steal!
GO GO GO!
I had the pho noodle soup with brisket and it was pretty good. The broth was tasty and the brisket was well cooked. The veggie spring rolls I had for starter were fantastic, despite being small!
The staff is polite and quick. The place, despite having good lighting, is not extremely cozy, and the background music was slightly off-putting.
I thought the soup quantity was pretty satisfying, but I'm used to eating pho for slightly lower prices, which makes me refrain from giving the place a higher score.
