We loved this pub when we visited in July 2017! HUGE selection of craft beer and a great plate of Fish and Chips! And all the extra points for prosecco on tap with fresh strawberry garnish! (We don't get that in states)! The staff was amazing - even during the busy after work rush! We can't wait to come back!
We go here when poping into town for a bite to eat & to sample some of there many fantastic craft beers & ciders... the food is always fresh & cooked perfect, food is local which is a must & the staff are always on top form... kool pub with. Relaxed atmosphere, all gud for me 👍
Had been to against the grain in a Tuesday evening. For a weekday too the place was pretty full. Pint of beer us a tad bit expensive than other pubs in the city centre. (€5.90). But they do have a wide selection of craft beers for all the beer lovers. The place was undergoing renovation. Upstairs lounge serves food as well. OK to visit once maybe but there are better and cheaper pubs in the city.

Haven't eaten here at all but I believe the food is pretty good.
I quite liked getting Founders' Breakfast stout in a coffee cup :)
Also the beer cocktails here are v good!
What a great selection of craft beers! If you're only looking for a spot to enjoy your Guinness, this night not be your pub,, but against the grain has a lot to offer.
It's always crowded, upstairs it's a bit more relaxed where people chat and some play board games.
Bartenders are all really friendly and always recommend great beer, Since the options are sometimes too many to chose from!
An ample selection of craft beers and ciders, this pub is a real gem. Great pub grub too, a good selection of bar snacks and burgers. The atmosphere is what sets this pub apart from others, it's always got great music playing and a really friendly team of staff.
Haven't eaten here but the beer and atmosphere is really good. Good pit stop if you're going to gig or the silent disco in Whelan's. Can get fairly stuffy during the night but would highly recommend.
First time in Against the Grain last weekend and I have to say I'm a fan! Great selection of beers, staff were really nice, nice place and a good crowd.. Pretty sure I saw a stack of board games somewhere too so I'll definitely be back!

The staff are great Craic, the drinks collection is vast and varied (esp, craft beer) and the food is excellent! There's also games of scrabble, guess who etc. scattered around in case conversation runs short!
Went here on a Sunday lunchtime for some food and ended up getting a beer as well. Very nice staff, very nice beer and the food was great as well. Went back again more than once. Good atmosphere and a nice place to go to try something a little different.
Fantastic selection of beers in here, always a nice crowd and buzz about the place. I've always found the bar men really friendly and they're more than happy to recommend a new or different craft beer
I haven't tried the food here yet though, so it'll be another excuse to go back
Good Irish draft craft beer selection. Variety of food, including a good chicken curry. Good value.
