Last time I was in here was 2003 I think, before a gig at Lansdowne Road. I remember it was alright for a beer. Was full of the local business types of the day.
Went in there recently for the first time since, and they've really updated it. Well laid out, TVs for watching games, covered smoking balcony upstairs. Staff really nice and I always trust a bar with the locals in it. All round good atmosphere . Toilets were in good nick too (something that some bars overlook).
Was also passing by a few weeks later and sat outside for a coffee. Well looked after and they even played some music to keep me company.
A friend and I stumbled upon this little gem by chance. It's a beautiful cosy pub with a great atmosphere. When we entered the pub we were greeted by a very welcoming and friendly barman. All the staff here made it their duty to make sure we felt right at home. What was only supposed to be one drink turned into many as the atmosphere of the place made it impossible to leave. It truly is somewhere I would recommend to everyone and somewhere I will definitely be visiting again!!

This pub has it all!! It feels like my granny's kitchen. Atmosphere is there in abundance and there's not a hair out of place. (I'm informed the owner has OCD????)
Great range of beers and spirits to choose from and cheaper than any other pub in it's class.
What i can say is if you have not been here, you are doing yourself a huge injustice.
Ps. I am addicted to their coffee..... Soooo good!
