We went here for a birthday meal with the family last weekend as I had heard great things about the steaks!

Very much a no frills place-I ordered the ribs to start and they came out literally ribs on a plate with no garnish or presentation. However they were delicious and falling off the bone. I tried the fried Brie too and this was also lovely. We all opted for steak for our mains and paid the €5.50 supplement on the earlybird menu (€20 for 2 courses which is amazing value). I went for the 10oz fillet with chips and peppercorn sauce. The sauce was my favourite thing about the meal- it was beautifully creamy and had a lovely flavour.

For desert I went for a trio of ice cream choosing chocolate, vanilla and mint chocolate. They were really good quality ice cream scoops even though I couldn't finish it ! My dad went for the creme brûlée which didn't crack on top but was lovely and creamy inside.

All in all the food was good but the service was completely off- and although the staff were friendly, they just didn't seem organised. We had to ask numerous times For a desert menu, numerous times for our bill, we had 2 bottles of wine brought over to our table at the start instead of one.
Everyone was really friendly but it just felt like it lacked a bit of waiter continuity and organisation. At one stage someone came over to see if we were OK and 2 seconds later a new person did too while we had just taken a bite of our food.
Will definitely be back though, great value early bird!
