This is one of my favorite restaurants in the world and I recommend it to anyone that will be in Dublin! When I studied abroad here, I took my all of my friends and family that visited to dine here and they are some of my favorite memories! The smoked ham and corned beef boxy is absolutely amazing. The Boxty tasting slate is an amazing way to start off your meal and if you have room for dessert, get the dessert tasting slate because everything is freaking delicious! Not to mention the service is amazing and everyone is so friendly. It would 10/10 recommend!!
Saw this place and seemed like a great choice and it was. The food was excellent and I highly recommend the food the cheese plate. The Jack Smyth (no relation) was delicious
What a great place! Me and my husband were staying overnight in Dublin on our way home to England. Wanting to sample some traditional Irish food we stumbled across The Boxy House and so glad we did! It was a very busy Friday night and the place was heaving but despite this they found us a table straight away. The food was delicious, service excellent with a great ambience. Would definitely recommend...and hope we will be able to return again one day!
It was great we came back for a second meal. Nice to have such a variety of gluten free meals and the desserts were to die for!
Love this place❤️ Great food, I’ve never been disappointed the last 4 years that I’ve eaten here. Fries are amazingly yummy and all the boxty dishes are fantastic
Great Fish and chips, but the best on the menu has to be the stew Platter....a sampler of all three of their outstanding homemade delicacies...traditional lamb, steak and ale, and the black pudding sausage....mmmmm...don't forget to try their house stout...better than Guinness
Staff were very attentive and personable and the food was really nice 👍🏼 we had the sharing Boxty and Bacon ribs to start then a beef and corned beef (proper corned beef I should add) Boxty. Eyes were far too big for my belly - you certainly have “Gotta Eat Here!” 😁

We all loved it! Burger & fries, salmon with mussels and white wine sauce, Beef medallions ! Very impressed, staff was friendly and helpful! Flavours were amazing!
Fabulous food ,great atmosphere ,friendly,professional staff .Love the food ,mainly the boxty ,but the dessert was divine! Will be back again soon ,sure where else would a Mohilian eat in Dublin ??
