Can't recommend this beautiful little gem enough!Richard's cooking is supreme, elegant and always on point. There's a wonderful touch and finesse which you can taste throughout the whole menu starting with his Ox tongue terrine, pickles,apple and celeriac remoulade, grape chutney and the best focaccia i have ever tasted! The mains are always cooked and seasoned perfectly, served with his beautiful vegetable and potato side dish...it is beyond delicious! It is always a great sign when a chef focuses on the details of his hand crafted desserts just as much as he pays attention to his savoury dishes. The addition of the pistachio praline on the decadent chocolate marquise is simply genius! We always love when the front of house impresses as much as the food part of the experience! Antje has the knowledge, the skills and most importantly the experience, so she is able to give the best casual dining service with the qualities of a fine dining service. With much flair and sass of course! We will happily return as often as possible!
Had my first visit here recently. Probably the finest meal I have had in some time. Went with some friends who are in the catering industry and everybody thoroughly enjoyed it. It is so refreshing to eat in a place where clearly the chef is passionate about food & the best of local produce is being used. None of us could fault any part of the meal. Would recommend the scallops & the duck main course was delicious. Reasonably priced considering the quality. Great service. Cannot wait to return.
We had a wonderful meal here recently . Our daughter loved the half hake portion never mind the ganache. We found the owner so welcoming. The food was delicious . Great experience
