The Italian Kitchen

Jack Corcoran and I had dinner at The Italian Kitchen last night. We were staying in The Clayton Hotel as I was leaving for Canada in the morning for Christmas holidays. We wanted a nice meal out and was treating it as our Christmas dinner since we would be apart for Christmas. What we got was exceptional, friendly service, a clean, romantic atmosphere and absolutely fabulous food. Jack and I met working at a wood burning Italian restaurant in Canada so we had high expectations and are very tough critics. All the staff were smiling and made us feel.so comfortable. Michelle, our server, made our night so special and she met all of our needs and even treated us to a scoop of gelato as we wanted dessert but were too full to order one. The manager, im so sad I forgot his name but it started with an M, was so friendly and came over to us and said hi and was just amazing. The wine selection was great and we had the French pinot noir. Definitely try it, we ended up getting a second bottle to take up to the room. Michelle was well informed of the menu and helped us choose our items and we loved it all. We had anti pasti to start, we shared a pizza and the baked cod and added a salad and fries to share. We were shocked when we found out the restaurant was only open for 3 weeks because we had such a lovely experience with no hiccups. This place is a must try and we will definitely be back to fill our bellies and see some friendly faces. Thank you for making our night so special! Jack and Sarah
