This restaurant is not only a jewel, it's the diamond encrusted crown!!!! Not only is the setting beautiful inside, the outside view and the building itself is beautiful. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven when I put that first piece of crouton/bread coated in Chicken Pate with the most divine onion dressing into my mouth! It was followed by a main course of duck. Not an ounce of fat on it which extremely rare in my experience. It was accompanied by a selection of tasty vegetables which were all prepared lovingly too. My husband had the Pork with the most amazing tasting red cabbage I can only describe as Christmas. It tasted like a dressing of mulled wine. We both finished with apple and cinnamon crumble with custard, all homemade of course. Ade, is chef and owner and totally charming. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Thank you Ade Walsh, we will be back very soon.

My first visit to kilkieran cottage and was truely delighted with the quality of the food here, I had the pork belly buttons for starter which were absolutely delicious! Then I had the guinea foul for my main course and I really mean this, it was one of the best things I've eaten!! The wine we had with our meal was very good and reasonably priced too. On a whole we were very satisfied and happy with the quality of everything at this establishment. Great value too. Will definitely return the next time when we visit the area again, hopefully soon enough.

I visited the Kilkieran Cottage tonight with my partner. We were greeted with smiles and seated right away. The room was a nice warm cosy temperature with beautiful music in the background. We both got the vegetable soup and couldn't get enough of it. But it was a perfect starter. For my main, I got the Angus Beef. The presentation was fantastic. It was cooked to perfection. Really juicy and tender. I also couldn't get over how the sauces flowed so well together with it and also the potatoes and vegetables I`ve ate in a lot of good places. And thought I`ve had the best. Tonight, the Kilkieran Cottage has left me and my partner speechless as to what good food really is. I`d highly recommenced this to everyone.

I am absolutely delighted with this restaurant. I came in this evening and have left amazed and happy. I had the soup as a starter and the duck breast as my main, and I can honestly say that this is the best food I've ever had. The chef did a fantastic job, and her experience shines through in the quality of food. I will have no problem recommending this restaurant to friends and family, and will be excited to visit again soon.
