My wife and I were excited to hear through the grapevine about a new restaurant opening in Kilkenny that had several vegan options. We went to Truffle on it's opening day. The newly refurbished restaurant has a Parisian flair that is very modern and comfortable. The staff couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating from the moment we walked in until we left. Total attention paid to customers, amazing customer service. We were shown and explained several vegan options from the menu. We started with the hummus and beet crisps. They were a great starter for two and very tasty. My wife ordered the Mediterranean moussaka and was blown away by it. She said she would definitely come back and have the exact same dish again. I ordered the wild mushroom and truffle risotto and devoured the whole plate. Absolutely delicious. We then were surprised to hear that there are three separate dessert options for vegans. We cannot find a restaurant in the entirety of Kilkenny that offers vegan desserts, other than fruit or soy ice cream. We got the dark chocolate tart and the Madagascar panna cotta. Both were decadent and obviously made by someone with a deft hand at pastry. I would come back for the desserts alone, but will be coming back for everything else as well. This restaurant provides multiple vegan items, from starters to mains. People who want meat and seafood will not be disappointed by the other offerings. We saw other diners receiving beautiful plates of their food and enjoying it just as much as we enjoyed our vegan fare. I must reiterate that the staff is not only knowledgeable about food, but clearly passionate about it as well. Zori and her team have really outdone themselves with this restaurant. I can see this quickly becoming a must visit for diners in Kilkenny. We certainly will be back!

Had the most wonderful meal in Truffles. The food was artwork on the plate & tasted even better. Wonderful selection including extensive vegetarian menu. Staff were friendly & attentive. Highly recommend, definitely 5 star experience.
