I cannot speak highly enough of the service and standards at this elegant hotel. We just love the Old Ground and have stayed here more than 10 times!
The warm welcome, the receptionist greeting, the porterage staff, the cosy fierce fire, the rooms, the afternoon teas, the Irish Dancing competitions and young girls with curly fake hair everywhere, the garden outside, the sitting in the residents lounge reading the newspaper, the cathedral 20 steps away across the road, dinner in the Town Hall or Poets Corner, the live music, the bar ambiance, the breakfast, the french waiter who knows every aspect of your breakfast like Ennis is in Paris. We love everything!
Thanks to Phil and all the lovely staff at the Old Ground Hotel who made our wedding day so special on Friday. I can’t speak highly enough of how professional and friendly all the staff are and everyone couldn’t do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. All the waiting staff who served food and drinks at the drinks reception and at dinner to Phil, Derek and Abdul who made sure that in all ran like a very classy military operation. We had a fabulous day and all our guests were so impressed with the quality of the food and service. Thank you all so much for making our day that bit more special.
