Myself and my husband had a really lovely meal in the Purty Kitchen for old times sake, we used to eat there a lot before our move up to Cavan a few years ago. The interior has improved, not as dark as it was, the food was brilliant, the staff were friendly but not intrusive. I would highly recommend it. I am sorry we do not live nearer...c'est la vie!!!
The Purty Loft is now Ireland’s top venue for tribute acts and has an optional pre-show dinner. As rock n roll heroes pass away, the growth and popularity of tribute bands is a global phenomenon. Witness BBC’s ‘Even Better Than The Real Thing’ on at Christmas peak time viewing.
Last night ‘Green Floyd’ were excellent. The Magnificent Seven onstage played a great tight set of Pink Floyd favourites to a sold out crowd.
The staff were buzzing on both sides of the counter and the event ran very smoothly. I’ll be back !
I enjoyed a lovely dinner in The Purty Kitchen! I think the prices are a little night but if you get a ticket for dinner and a show it's definitely much better value and you are set to have an amazing night!
I had the pate to start which had a beetroot pickle and then the fish and chips for mains! It was all lovely and I will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere in the pub and next time I return I will see a show. Great location and great fun!
Had a great shellfish stew here, blew everything else away on the menu. Loads of flavour and fish - albeit a bit messy with the shells but that's all part of the fun. Will be back again!
Lovely bar/restaurant at the end of the West Pier. In a relatively quiet part of Dun Laoghaire/Monkstown but thats part of its secluded charm. Nice manager called Declan and friendly staff. Good place for a bit of food and a drink.
A staple of mine for a while now, the purty has one of the best burgers I've had in dublin. Always a good atmosphere and good craft beers. One criticism I have is the sweet potato wedges could be cut smaller, at the moment they're just too big and not nice to eat. They also recently changed the dessert menu, much to my dismay as the raspberry cheesecake was usually my prime motivation to visit the purty. Will definitely revisit again soon.
The Purty Kitchen in Monkstown is a great pub that's been a local favourite for many years. The food is excellent, from a lunchtime burger to the weekend roast. Great spot for live music also, with bands playing all the time. Great pub!
