I have been to Cafe Boulevard several times, but I have to admit I have only ever tried one dish - the cajun chicken pitta. This is without a doubt one of my favourite lunchtime meals and it never disappoints. The pitta is filled to the brim and is accompanied by wedges, so is a big enough portion for lunch. The staff are very friendly and definitely add to the overall experience. I will definitely be back.
Had a breakfast here on wet and miserable day recently. Not my normal routine but needed shelter from the rain so decided to treat my self to a breakfast while `i was there. It's a nice little cafe with a decent bit of space and friendly service! Had the breakfast which was nice, I have a big appetite so my ideal breakfast would be bigger but I'm sure this would suffice the majority! Coffee was really good!
As soon as I stepped off the Luas, I was lambasted with a storm of heavy winds and torrential rain. I fought my way through Merrion Row, over Pembroke Road until I received a distress call from The Hungry Wolf, Alice Quinn, Ponyboy and Nicola. They too had been battling this vicious Irish weather in the trenches and a cease fire was called for in Cafe Boulevard on Baggot Street.
There was only one dish to satisfy ones quench at this dramatic moment. A fry up! Panic began to take over once we noticed that there were no sausages on the menu but thankfully they can swap out a rasher for one.
There it was! A rasher, sausage, two perfectly poached eggs, one portobello mushroom, a grilled tomato and of course, brown toast.
