For delicious burgers go to SoMa Burger Co. on the upper floor of Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, part of the food court area. Not the most salubrious of settings, its akin to a fast food place in that you order at the counter, but you then take your seat and your food is delivered to your table.

The menu is quite simple - classic burgers, cheese, bacon & cheese, chilli (all can be either beef or chicken), there’s a veggie one too, portobello mushroom. There’s a few salads and also a couple of breakfast offerings. The burgers are available ‘Solo’ (ranging from €6.50 – €7.50) or ‘All in’ – with chips and a drink (ranging from €8.50 – 9.50). I chose an ‘All in – Cheese’ (all the classic goodness – with cheese) at €8.75 and he went for ‘All in – Barbecue’ (the bacon & cheese with a dollop of smokey BBQ sauce) at €9.50.

Served on a tray, the burger sat within a brioche bun, with all the usual trimmings, tomato, lettuce, onion, pickles, sauce…the beef was juicy and tasty, the burger wasn’t too big, so you could actually pick it up to eat and it tasted so good!

The brioche bun broke up a bit as you ate but not too badly. Chips were skin on hand cut, and really delicious. 

All in our bill was €18.25 and incredible value at that for a freshly made and great tasting burger, fries and diet cokes for 2. We will most certainly be back for more of SoMa Burger Co,’s wonderful burgers next time we are out Liffey Valley way…
