Breakfast is simple yet amazingly tasty and feels so fresh.
The coffee is really good (always a sticking point for me)
The staff are very friendly and cheerful, nothing false about them. Inside is 'cosy' but there are also seats outside with blankets.
Just off the main road it's rather quiet and a little gem of a place.
Lunch also is rather imaginative and worth a try.
All in all really good and this is why I return, it will be interesting to see what happens if they expand into next door.
This is one of my favourite cafes in Dublin. The food is fresh, imaginative, high-quality, and varies on a regular basis. The inside is a bit small - there are only 3-4 tables - but there are more tables outside if you're brave enough, where blankets (and occasionally hot-water bottles!) are provided. The owners and staff are genuinely friendly and down-to-earth. It's generally just a lovely place to be.
Mc Mahon’s of Botanic Avenue in Glasnevin catches your eye thanks to its bright mint green exterior and the pleasing use of typrewriter font. (Or maybe that’s just a font nerd talking!). Whenever I pass I can’t help but feel envious of the people sitting outside Mc Mahon’s at the red tables along the curve of the footpath that faces the pyramid-like church.
We had coffees, very nice, and the breakfast sandwich, which was really nice and very filling.
Mcmahons is a lovely little spot.they have plenty of seating outside for the summer &seven have blankets on the chairs incase it gets cold.i had a lovely warm St Kevin's Brie sandwich which was perfect-the Brie flavour wasn't over powering.the staff also are very nice
Stopped in here for shelter after a blustery walk around the botanic gardens one day. It's quite the gem, opposite the church on the corner. I enjoyed a lovely little poppy seed and lemon curd cake, so very cute shaped in a heart and it was moist and tasty. Really lovely and good coffee. They also serve food at the honest to goodness market in Glasnevin Industrial estate on a Saturday. The staff are very welcoming and the cafe itself is super cosy, just lovely.
If you live in the area this is one of the best cafe and you probably already know this. Incredibly friendly small place down Glasnevin with lots of choices, from salads to pastries or sandwiches. Love it
This charming cafe is definitely worth a visit. The interior is sweet and the they even supply hot water bottles and blankets for winter. I had a generous beetroot salad and I'll definitely be getting it again.
My favourite thing about McMahons (besides the friendly staff) is their array of homemade cakes and scones, all in parcels with twine. It's ideal for a catch up with a friend or if your visiting the botanic gardens. 5 stars!
Love this place it is so cute and staff are unbelievably friendly! It's always really busy around lunch time, so we had to wait outside for a few minutes to wait for our table. The waitress was so lovely and gave us little water bottles and blankets outside while we were looking at the menu. There is a lot of healthy options to offer on the menu such as salads, warm and cold sandwiches and soup. They do daily specials too. I got a warm cous cous, hummus and roast pepper salad and my friend got a goats cheese and beetroot salad. Both were delicious. I also got a lovely cappucino and we split a mars bar square. All their little cakes are homemade and so nicely presented. Love this place would recommend to anyone it's so cute, so cosy and food is absolutely delicious.
