Breakfast is simple yet amazingly tasty and feels so fresh.
The coffee is really good (always a sticking point for me)
The staff are very friendly and cheerful, nothing false about them. Inside is 'cosy' but there are also seats outside with blankets.
Just off the main road it's rather quiet and a little gem of a place.
Lunch also is rather imaginative and worth a try.
All in all really good and this is why I return, it will be interesting to see what happens if they expand into next door.
This is one of my favourite cafes in Dublin. The food is fresh, imaginative, high-quality, and varies on a regular basis. The inside is a bit small - there are only 3-4 tables - but there are more tables outside if you're brave enough, where blankets (and occasionally hot-water bottles!) are provided. The owners and staff are genuinely friendly and down-to-earth. It's generally just a lovely place to be.
Mc Mahon’s of Botanic Avenue in Glasnevin catches your eye thanks to its bright mint green exterior and the pleasing use of typrewriter font. (Or maybe that’s just a font nerd talking!). Whenever I pass I can’t help but feel envious of the people sitting outside Mc Mahon’s at the red tables along the curve of the footpath that faces the pyramid-like church.
We had coffees, very nice, and the breakfast sandwich, which was really nice and very filling.
