This is truly a hidden gem close to Christ Church Cathedral and Temple Bar areas. The charcuterie board we received was substantial with cheeses, meats and a great fig compote as well as olives and grapes. There was a great selection of international wines by the glass. I would highly recommend this place for tapas and wines. The service was very prompt.
Very good food. Loved the veal dish. Gorge coffees. Staff very friendly
Reasonable prices for Dublin. Lovely wine bar atmosphere.
“Authenticity, inspiration and generosity in the plate”
5 out of 5 stars
This recent addition to the Dublin gastronomic scene combines inventive, authentic cooking, and delivers heartfelt generosity and passion on the plate.
The selection of tapas was perfectly balanced and copious. One of the stars was the smoked eel on a bed of white bean and chicory, enhanced by a delicate balance of espelette pimento, tempered with a splash of balsamic vinegar.
The ultra-fresh oyster was paired with a discretely intense foam of anchovy, and took us beautifully into an improvisation by the chef of an octopus salad in capers, picholine olives, celery and lovage, and sweet sultanas that matched it perfectly with an organic Malvazija from the Burja estate in Slovenia.
The Orecchiette Farina Arsa (scorched wheat pasta) with pork ragu was a revelation of texture, intensity and flavour, and was undoubtedly one of the highlights of the evening (as was the amazing chocolate cake with coulis of walnut and honey).
Amazing value, superb, seamless professional service, accompanied by an impressive range of wines for all tastes and budgets (an excellent selection of organic wines, some in magnums).
A must for lovers of slow, authentic Italian food.
