We ate at basil last night, I was expecting a nice pizza like you’d get at any Italian place. Well was I mistaken! I ordered the 12” Quattro framaggio with extra ham and it was amazing. The flavour from the base alone was exceptional, coupled with the perfect amount of the four cheeses and a generous portion of really tasty ham. I genuinely did not know that pizza could taste that good! The atmosphere is so relaxed and happy, it’s a really great spot for a night out with friends or family, I can’t wait to go back.
Amazing pizza amazing staff highly recommend a great place to go
Massive fan of this place. We came here for our first time last week. It's small but cute and the staff were sound. The menu is basic but everything we ordered did not disappoint. We got garlic bread to start with which was a really nice garlic bread as we asked for it with cheese. The four of us were all very satisfied and happy with our pizzas. Then we shared the Nutella pizza- the nutjob that was unreal but I think I would have rather strawberries with the pizza then raspberries. And then the icing on the cake was that it was byob. Only 5€ each corkage charge.
Delicious pizza and great service. Their garlic & herb dip is sensational. BYOB is very handy for a cheap night out also. Love this place :)
Popped into Basil for a quick bite before a show in BGE theater.
Very hand location, fantastic service and one of the nicest pizza's I've ever had.
Have recommended to all my friends and will certainly be back (soon, I hope)
Very small, cozy and away from the city centre's confusion this place is great for a dinner with close friends. The pizzas and the staff we're great as well!
The type of restaurant to do not want to leave, great service, great food and bring your own wine. The recipe for a perfect evening.
Last night we tried Basil as I'm a big pizza fan (i am Italian after all ;))!! We booked a table and the staff was very friendly on the phone. We arrived and we had the option of sitting either inside or outside!
We ordered garlic bread with cheese for starter to share! It was delicious; it was oven cooked which it gave a lovely flavour to the dough!!
We both went for a 12" pizza and picked three toppings each.... Best pizza I have ever had in Dublin. They put both buffalo and regular mozzarella in the pizza, which makes it way more tastier!! Again the wooden oven uniquely upgraded the pizza flavours!! I love the ideas to choose your toppings as I'm rarely enthusiastic by restaurant menus and their pizza choices, i either add a topping or I have to ask to remove one!!
&For dessert we shared ice cream (which didn't reach photo stage, we ate it too quickly).
We brought a bottle of wine from home and they only changed 5€ for corkage.
They also do take away pizza too, which is great idea!!
Definitely recommended and I'll go back and try the other desserts hehe
PS, you need to pay with cash, so go prepared ;)
Absolutely love this hidden gem. We went here for a friends birthday and had the little room outside to ourselves. Such a cute place with a gorgeous beer garden outside. It's byob and perfect for a cheap dinner and drinks before a night out. I had a pizza and shared a garlic bread. The garlic bread was probably the nicest I've ever had. Pizza was €9 and the garlic bread was €4. So reasonable and the staff are so friendly. The service was super quick too. Will certainly be back, maybe even this weekend.
Great pizza's, low prices, BYOB wine (€5 corkage) and a lovely warm and relaxed atmosphere.
The staff are attentive and always in good form.
It could do with a few pre-made pizza ideas for the less creative amongst us but overall is a really great place for a cheap evening with pizza and wine!
Had been meaning to pop on here for ages. The set up is so nice, a few outdoor tables and loads of kitch little trinkets all over the place. They have a covered shed at the back with a stove which is super cosy. The pizza is really good value and you just create your own from the menu. The pizza was delicious. Their dough wasn't stodgy and heavy which so many places mess up on. Only thing not great was that they are cash only with which I'm not often familiar. Well worth going all the same.
This is a hidden gem. Nicest pizza in Dublin! It's really nice on a sunny day as its seating is all out doors. It's byob which is nice if you want to go with a group of friends!
