Milano is a great option for a dinner with friends: big space with nice pizzas and pastas with a helpful and quick service.
The size of the portions is the only bad point of this restaurant: the pizzas have a normal size but the pastas are not enough for someone with hungry, you may ask for some appetizers..!
The desserts were also very good!
Food was great. I did notice them tell us and a couple of other tables that they were out of certain ingredients. It could have been a fluke from a busy weekend. Service was standard, food was fresh, and we'd go back again.
It was a good experience. The local is fine and it has a good location. The pizzas were great and really tasty. They normally have promotion, so it is not expensive.
Amazing!
We got a discount voucher and decided to try this restaurant. I'm so glad we went because we will definitely come back!
We had the Dough balls formaggi and it couldn't be a better start! Each piece (with butter or sauce) was a bite of heaven! Then I had the vegetarian cannelloni which was very good (lets say 8/10) and to finish the vanilla cheesecake - great too, comparing to the others I had in Dublin (somehow the ones I've tried never had that truly handmade taste). And we didn't have to wait much to get the food!
Also, the place itself is very welcoming with messages all around. Next to us was a table full or portuguese which made the dinner more funny! On top of that the music playing was perfect! Black keys was playing and then starts to play Alt-J, what could be better?
It was a marvellous dinner!
We went back to Milano and today was so crowded you couldn't listen to yourself. This time I had the penne with bechamel and mushrooms and it lacked taste such as the entrances did. I recommend not going there on busy days !
Excellent food. Kid friendly. Our son was very tired after a long day of travel to Dublin and the kiddie menu, crayons and the food (which had the option of an ice lolly) totally perked him up. Our food too was excellent. It is a bit pricey though for just a pizza - pasta place.
Another franchise with many locations around town. An italian one, but mostly serving pizzas.
We are used to italian restaurants in Portugal with a wide range of pasta dishes, and that's what we were expecting. Well... not quite like that. Almost everything in the menu are pizzas, so we choose a couple of those and the other remaining dishes.
Our orders: both pizzas we asked for (both romana pizzas, an American Hot and a Melanzane) were just regular, nothing remarkable, neither the base of the pizza nor the ingredients; the Lasagna was not that good, with so much tomato sauce that we couldn't fell the taste of the other ingredients; the Pollo Pesto was the best dish of the entire meal, with the penne coocked perfectly and the pesto being really good; and the risotto with salmon was the worst dish of the night... the rice was just not right, it was too dry and tastless, with sloppy pieces of salmon thrown in there (the presentation was just awfull).
Despite all of this, the place is always crowded, including big families. Most of the people serving tables are brasilian (yep, brasilian people serving in an italian restaurant in Ireland...), but that's ok because we speak the same language ;)
Went here for dinner. Don't have anything bad to say food was great and so were the staff. Great location. We got the bolognese pasta and the arrabiata both were lovely . Got the nicest desert think it was the honeycomb slice was so so nice! Maybe one complaint would be the price was slightly pricey for the portion given but nothing too crazy . Will definitely go again
Such a perfect place for those scrumptious Italian meal to go with. I still can't stop drooling over Thais limoncello dessert which took my heart away. The pizzas were brilliant, appetite surprises you with the quantity. Brilliant hosts to cater to your requirements and their suggestions are something to go with when u r trying the place for the 1st time. If u r a tiramisu fan DO NOT STEP OUT until u try them at this place.
Came here yesterday for dinner, I've been meaning to try here a while now! I have to say I wasn't disappointed... We went for the 2 course meal for €13 which is great value! For the starter I got garlic bread and mozzarella And for the main I went for the pasta which was fab! The drinks are very reasonable priced too for being in the temple bar area. Prosecco is only €5.95!
I don't know what it is about this Milano, maybe it's because it's in Temple Bar, but it just doesn't have the same vibe as the others. Just feels a little more squashed or something. In saying that, the food and service is on par with the other Milanos out there!
