Have been to the bath for drinks before and it's a buzzy spot. Today I went with my mum for brunch as she wanted to sit in the spot and it's a great spot when it is sunny as the beer garden has a lot of seating! We both opted for the eggs benedict with bacon. The poached eggs were done to perfection, the bacon was proper cured and thick and it was a big feed with 2 brioche pieces of bread, 1 per egg. On the side a lovely dressed salad with grilled tomatoes, that was a nice touch as u usually don't see any salad with a eggs benedict. The service was really good too, quick and efficient! We had coffees too and they were nice! I would recommend!
I've never had the food at bath but we love it for its beer garden and personality. It's always buzzing!
Great place for after work drinks and get there early if the suns out!
I was in the Bath for a craft beer and whiskey tasting event on a Tuesday night. Despite it being early in the week, the place was packed! There's a great selection of drinks and the ability to order Base pizza from your table really sets the place apart.
If you don't mind being cramped at times, it is a brilliant spot for drinks and food.
Had such a great time here at a beer tasting event last night. Big thumbs up to our bar man Conor who talked us through all our drink selections. & made us feel at ease. The bar is full of character and the beer garden outside is the perfect wee spot for a sunny day, although you will be fighting the crowd for a table!
Great pub in a great location. The staff are so friendly and efficient, you never have to wait long for a drink. They also have an amazing outdoor area which is always packed when the sun comes out. Its not too big inside, but even when busy there is a great buzz - never feels overly crowded. You can also order Base pizza into the pub which is a nice touch.
Beggar's Bush always has a good buzz about it, especially on match days at the Aviva. It's really nice inside, and the nook is the perfect place for chats and craic with friends. I called in recently for a bit of lunch and a few pints and had the BLT. It was incredible, on toasted nutty brown bread with lots of bacon and really fresh salad. It was served with some home cooked chips, and there was a great selection of beers to go with it. Lovely pub!
The Bath has a great outdoor area for a few pints in Summer but this time I came for food as a friend had recommended the brunch.
For me, the bench mark for a good brunch or breakfast is the hollandaise sauce so I ordered the Bacon and Eggs Benedict. Perfectly cooked hollandaise, poached eggs, a ton loads of bacon on top of french bread and a side salad.
To go with my meal, I ordered an Irish craft beer called Fulcrum which was described as having a banana and caramel flavour.
Top notch!
