Had a lovely meal here yesterday great service lovely menu and the food did not disappoint wonderful and lovely wine plus I was taken for my birthday as a surprise but when the dessert was taken out their was a candle and the plate was decorated in chocolate saying happy birthday made this dinner even more memorable will definitely return in the near future.

Ate here on Thursday evening, hadn't booked but fortunate that they squeezed us in, how lucky we were. The service was first class and very attentive, the food was superb, black pudding scotch egg and herb crusted cod was absolutely stunning. Thanks we will be back

Amazing food and service. There was 6 in our party and we were looked after so well, our waitress made our evening very special and for my sister whose birthday it was. Felt very relaxed in this restaurant, it was our first time there and it won't be our last. Would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant!

Wonderful service and the food was perfection. They should charge more than they do for creating such a great night for us. Our server was originally from Poland and she was knowledgeable regarding the wines and charming. I wish I could remember her name, but it was just a great night.

Went here a birthday with my husband and 3 kids. The kids loved it. Food was fabulous. Waiters were excellent. ( one male waiter was just a bit under pressure!!�) 3rd time to have had a meal in this restaurant. Always excellent from Start to finish.��

The place is very well done up and is situated off Grafton street. We ordered the following:

RIB EYE WELL DONE- okay straight up this is the best steak I have had... crispy on the outside and soft in the inside.
STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING- A caramel delight for all toffee lovers. The cake was moist and delicious
BEETROOT AND GOAT CHEESE SALAD- okay so I hate salads. But loved this one .. So diff ... so well presented.
CORRIANDER SOUP- I didn't have the soup, my mom did. And she seemed too enjoy it a lot

I went there with friends a couple of months ago and spent a good time.
We ordered so many meals and I remember them to be good. I ordered a steak as a main dish and it was delicious, my friends had the tuna (2 of them got sick on the same night, not sure if it's from the Tuna though or something else).
I had a good time nd would recommend it. The waiters were super friendly!

Following my post about Gordon Ramsay’s Petrus in London, I wanted to write a blog post about another fantastic restaurant I visited. During my travels end of last year, I was also fortunate enough to get to travel to Ireland. I’ve always wanted to visit Dublin, having seen and heard so much about things such as the Spire of Dublin on O’Connell Street, Guinness Storehouse, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, St. Stephen’s Green and the many pubs of Temple Bar. Thankfully, it is only a short flight away from London. Apart from all my sightseeing, shopping and touring around the city of Dublin, I also did a little food research. I was very pleased to discover that Marco Pierre White has a steakhouse in Dawson Street. Being a Marco Pierre White fan, I immediately made a reservation.

I visited this steakhouse yesterday for an early dinner. I had the Filet of Beef Wellington and I loved it. It comes as a pastry filled with mushrooms and steak, with creamy spinach and potato fondue on the side. The food tasted great and the presentation was appetizing. The staff was absolutely lovely as well!

Been a bucket list item to eat at MPW. From starter to dessert a good solid meal. So many restaurants put too much emphasis on the presentation and forget about the flavor. The chef nailed the flavor tonight and we got served and a very tasty meal from start to finish.

Great place for special occasions, I went here for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend. The ambiance was great from the moment we were seated to when we left. The restaurant portrays a jazzy theme with dimmed lighting. The waiters were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable - particularly on cocktail recommendations. However, there is also a very tempting wine menu with a great selection.

Although the food is rather expensive it is truly delicious. The quality of food is exceptional and all I can say is if you like steak you won't be disappointed. I ordered the sirloin steak and my boyfriend ordered the ribeye steak. Both were cooked medium rare and were both soft and juicy. They were served with chunky chips and a salad. We also opted for a side order of field mushrooms to which we shared.

We were quite full from our main and decided to order a cocktail rather than a dessert - the white lady and the espresso martini to be more exact. Only advise I would give is to make a reservation to avoid disappointment as I hear it is difficult to get a table otherwise.

Great dinner, good food, amazing dessert!

Lovely meal today at Marco Pierre White's. The starter: fresh scallops with black pudding and cauliflower purée. Could have a bit more searing on the scallops but the combination of cauliflower and the black pudding was perfect. The main: special of the day was the t-bone. Really tasty, amazing onion rings and truffle Parmesan chips. The filet steak was also amazing served with a butter to die for. Finally the dessert and the best was left to the very end: sticky toffee pudding. After this day, sticky toffee pudding is ruined for me. I won't be able to enjoy it anywhere else, this is how good it was. Superb!!!

Ate here on Sunday as a party of 6- I never thought id hear myself say this as a self confessed "Meg who loves egg" but I was glad to find somewhere that did a Sunday lunch rather than brunch.

As the other reviews have said, the service is great, attentive and friendly without any snobbery- just the way I like it.

We went for the lunch/early bird menu which was great value at 22.95 for 2 courses and 27.95 for 3- the sirloin is a 5 euro supplement but is definitely worth it.

Between us all we tried the chicken liver parfait, the shrimp cocktail and the mozzarella with tomatoes and basil, I would say that the parfait needed more seasoning, otherwise the starters were good, for mains a variety of pork chops, steaks and fish &chips- all tasty & generous portions. We ordered an extra portion of truffle and Parmesan chips (delicious) and creamed cabbage & bacon (not for me but loved by others)

The deserts we tried were the frozen parfait, the pecan sponge pudding and the rhubarb creme brûlée- all lovely.

We tried the house red and white, the White was lovely, the red was fine but I prefer a more robust red.

Would I return? Yes but maybe not straight away

I've been a fan of MPW
since I saw him on Masterchef AU a few years ago.

It was therefore a
treat to be able to visit one of his restaurants on Easter Sunday.

My waiters were very
friendly and knowledgeable and the restaurant was tastefully decorated.

 

We both ordered the sirloin
steak. The steak was soft and juicy, though it did leave the plate with blood
escaping from the meat (which MPW had told us was due to it not resting long
enough).

We also had the crème
brulee, which was delicious.

When food is expensive it has to be flawless. This place has the food down to a tee but what really sets a restaurant apart is it's staff and that's what would bring me back to Marco Pierre's. From the moment we were seated to when we left nothing was too much trouble. Other reviewers have examined in depth the quality of food so I won't go over that again, suffice to say it's a steak house and if you like steak you won't be disappointed. The wine list is beautiful and the staff are fantastic with recommendations. The room is nice but the tables are very close together so privacy is certainly at a minimum but it's this that gives the place a buzz. 

Will certainly be back, its the perfect place for a treat and well worth the price.

MPW is a great central location in a fabulous setting!! I dined here in a group and they were very accommodating giving us a nice round table by the window. I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. The portions are plentiful so you get your money's worth. If you love steak this is a good place for you! If your going in a group email them and ask for group menu.

If you like steaks, MPW is a must. I ordered the fillet steak medium rare and it was perfectly cooked. We got a variety of sides to share, the onion rings are a must.

Fantastic food and ambience. I wouldn't usually get a steak and never would ask for it rare but the steaks are exceptional. Main courses are reasonably large so would only get a starter if particularly hungry!

The first word I think of when recalling my lunch here is "atmosphere" - few restaurants cultivate such a great ambience so effortlessly. It's like being in Paris in the middle of Dawson street. On a rainy Monday afternoon, 6 of us managed to each order a different main course - a testament to the variety and choice on the menu, and each finished off the plate. There were a few tables coming and going - quite a feat for a miserable late afternoon, but we never felt rushed and the staff were really great. I hadn't thought I could enjoy a steakhouse as a vegetarian but my spinach gnocci proved me wrong, and I look forward to returning again soon.

Great for a special occasion.  The staff and the steak are impeccable. Beautiful steak restaurant and whilst it is expensive, the quality of the food and the service really show you what you're paying for.  Will definitely be coming back

Brought my mam here as a surprise for her birthday and it was mouth watering. Its perfect for a special occassion. Greeted with really nice breads and we both chose the venison which was just perfect. Really nice seasonal veg. The desserts were a bit too nice but worth all the calories for the gooey chocolate!! I will return

Went here last night for my birthday dinner with my husband. We had no reservation but they were very accommodating and found us a lovely table. Service was efficient and sharp. Lovely waiter. He was neither too fussy nor too relaxed. Restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. I had the smoked salmon to start and the sirloin for main with chips and a tomato and basil salad. All were delicious. My husband had the kipper and whiskey pate and the fillet cooked medium rare which was cooked perfectly. Bill came to 106 (without tip) with 2 glasses of house red and a 7up. Great restaurant. Does what it says on the tin. Will definitely be going back.

I'm a big fan of this place, everything from its amazing steaks to the light jazzy background music, it all adds to the perfect meal. We went for the crab starter and prawn cocktail. Both were lovely, however the avocado was still slightly too hard. I got the fillet steak with classic bearnaise sauce and a side of truffle and Parmesan chips. The steak was cooked perfectly and was full of flavour. For dessert we shared the sticky toffee pudding with clotted cream. This was just mediocre, I've had better but there's plenty more desserts to try next time. The waiters are all so friendly and helpful.

Yesterday, I threw calorie counting out the window and ventured out for lunch with my fabulous grandmother. We decided to visit Marco Pierre White’s Steakhouse & Grill on Dawson Street, Dublin. MPW offer a great value menu (all day Sun, Mon, Tues / until 6.45pm Wed, Thurs, Fri / until 4.45pm Sat) at €21.95 for two courses or €26.95 for three.

First and foremost, the service in this restaurant is flawless. The associates are really welcoming and helpful, taking their time to answer any questions customers may have. Five star service is the highlight of any hospitality establishment and these guys seem to know that!

Next up – the food. I chose the two course option on the value menu (mains and dessert). To begin, I had the fried haddock which was served with mushy peas, chunky chips and tartar sauce. I’m happy to report that the dish was cooked to perfection. The batter was perfectly crispy while the fish was full of flavour and juices. I’m also a huge fan of chunky chips and these were the nicest I’ve had in ages!

My main course was followed by a toffee apple crumble which was served with vanilla ice-cream. The crumble itself was the perfect texture – crunchy but chewable and, the apple base was juicy and delicious. Served warm, the crumble is complimented by the vanilla ice-cream which is smooth and creamy. I’m a dessert girl through and through and this is probably the nicest crumble I’ve had in Dublin since I moved here 4 years ago.

All in all, my trip to MPW was a big treat. I can’t wait to return.

Went here for a family event with about 20 people. The service and food was excellent. Friendly staff who were very accommodating of our big group. The steaks here are amazing although I chose to have the salmon on this occasion. The portion was a little small but delicious all the same. Had a nice pint of Guinness to complement it. Well recommended spot.

Foie gras parfait, amazing steak and Eton mess to finish - getting into holy trinity territory. The Achilles heal are the side orders so many excellent choices to be made, picking creates a stressor or in my case an inability to function following the meal because I just couldn't decide so I had too many. Definitely worth multiple visits.

The lunch menu here is great value. I tend to order vegetarian options when available and I opted for the mushroom risotto as a main. It was very tasty but it wasn't spectacular. My only advice is if you're going to Marco Pierrre's, be adventurous.. the quality of food is excellent! Especially the dessert!

Marco Pierre's is a great restaurant situated on Dawson street. I've been here a few times, in both large and small groups and have been well looked after every single time. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. Steak is their speciality and it is always cooked to perfection . Bare in mind the portions aren't huge, but the taste makes up for it. The early bird menu is very good value and has a good selection of dishes to choose from. There is a service charge for groups of 6 or more. I've had great experiences here, would strongly recommend.

Been here twice for birthday meals and both times it was gorgeous! Lovely chilled atmosphere inside and a simply amazing steak! I've ordered fillet both times and haven't been disappointed!! Think there's a reasonable early bird menu also but haven't ordered from it yet!
Only negative thing I've heard is when a friend booked a table after my recommendation and they were told they needed the table back at a certain time which they were a bit taken aback with as the meal is quite expensive, you'd expect that if you're spending that much money on a dinner that you wouldn't be rushed out of your table!

Hands down the best steak i've had in Dublin. It can be a bit pricey when you're both having steak and add a bottle of wine, but it's not extortionate, and with every bite of the perfectly cooked steak you realise it's worth every penny. Staff are always on hand and you're never waiting more than a few seconds before someone is straight over to you. Try the crab starter too, really well cooked and full of flavour.

Great food & great location! I first went to MPW on Dawson street for a birthday dinner and have since been back a couple of times for their lunch and early bird offerings, which I must say are very good value. The food is delicious (especially if you love steak) and it is in a fantastic city centre location. I would also highly recommend their cocktails! The only downside is that when it is extremely busy, the service can be noticeably slower, however this isn't too much of an issue when in such comfortable surroundings.

Well wasn't Robbie keane the man himself at the other table. We didn't bother him though as we decided to play it cool, even though other plebes went over and got photos. The mans there to eat for Christ sake! Some people have as much decency as that Slane girl. Any-who, the grub was good I tell ya, and an all day early bird on a Sunday. Good man Marco. The portions in these fancy places are always very small, but that's why they give you soo much bread, the clever little cats!

I was walking past Marco Pierre White on Dawson street heading for lunch elsewhere with a friend when the value menu caught my attention. Two courses were on offer for only €14.95, we couldn’t believe it! We abandoned our other plans and decided to eat here instead. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the staff were friendly. I decided to skip having a starter and save some room for dessert. I had the duck followed by the crumble for dessert. Overall it was a lovely lunch and I would definitely go back.

Recently I’ve been trying to make my way through a few of the newer restaurants that had been on my list to try. A few weeks back though, I decided to visit an old favourite. I’ve been to Marco Pierre’s Steakhouse numerous times over the years – and never had a bad word to say about it. So while myself and E were spending the day in town, we dropped in and availed of the Value Menu there.

It was a Friday early evening and Dawson Street was buzzing… when is it ever any other way these days!? The whole area always has a great atmosphere and with a few new restaurants and bars opened recently, it’s even more popular.

Outside there the restaurant is a lovely covered terrace with heaters and during the summer you have very little chance of bagging these seats! A few were free on this occasion but E was freezing so we went inside and got ourselves a nice cosy spot. The restaurant is smart, yet not stuffy. It feels sort of like a French Brasserie and yet sort of like an American Steakhouse.

The Value Menu is a pretty good deal offering 2 courses for €19.95 or 3 for €24.95. We weren’t absolutely famished so went for 2 courses and it was decided I’d get starter and main and E get main and dessert…. A bit of sharing and getting the best of both worlds :-)

On every previous occasion I’ve gone for the steak – and loved every bite of it! The one problem with the value menu is that steak isn’t an option. There are plenty of other great choices though. Starter options include Soup, Kipper Pâté, Asparagus or Bayonne ham. And for mains there was Pork Chop, Salmon Fish Cake, Confit of Duck leg, Braised Beef and Roasted Poulet.

As is very often the way, E went for the meat lover’s option of Pork Chop and I went for the fish options choosing the Kipper Pâté and Fish Cake. I also decided on a nice glass of red :-)

So Pâté has never been a favourite of mine. But I love almost everything seafood so was trying to be brave here. My starter was served in a lovely little dish with a few melba toast. While the pot of pâté looked small there was quite a lot in it. It was very tasty and nice and light… which was a good thing as I’d already scoffed a few slices from the bread basket! Once I’d knocked off the fat layer from the top (to prevent oxidisation) I got stuck in to the pâté and finished most of it.

My fish cake arrived and was the biggest I’ve ever seen! It was served with some spinach, a poached egg and a little dish of the most fabulous tartar sauce. The salmon in the fish cake was super fresh and I ate every last crumb on the plate (nothing new there!) 

E’s pork chop was served with triple cooked chips and sauce bearnaise. The chop was massive and cooked perfectly, nice and juicy. There could have been a few extra chips served with it but given the size of them I guess that might just have been us being greedy 

Dessert was Toffee Apple Crumble and a separate serving of custard. It was lovely with a nice crunch to the crumble…. So nice I forgot to take a pic! I had a lovely Espresso Martini and then we finished up the meal and headed off before it got crazy busy with the Friday night crowd. 

I really like Marco Pierre’s. They serve consistently good food and with the option of the A la Carte menu to treat yourself or the Value Menu as a cheaper way to sample the food I think it’s a winner. With another restaurant more recently opened in Donnybrook also I’ll need to be paying that a visit!
