This place, my gosh, wow! Visiting Dublin from Perth - Western Australia, we stumbled across this gem by mistake, after seeking out the must have pint at Mulligans (next door). Luckily we popped in to see if there was an opportune table for 3 for lunch, and yes there was! The atmosphere, staff and food coming out of that kitchen was incredible. It was BYO wine, but being visitors, we didn't know where the closest bottle shop would be so settled for their house Pinot Grigio, which was great! Our best meal in Dublin by faaaar! If your visiting or live in Dublin, a meal here is mandatory! No photos sorry... was so in the moment I forgot to snap away!
Have been here twice and really like the atmosphere. The main guy is full of enthusiasm and really helps you choose what you're going to eat. The fact that it's BYO means it doesn't break the bank! The food is always full of taste and a pleasure to eat, although the portion sizes (particularly for the starters) are in my opinion a little bigger than they need to be!
Hunreal. The tastiest food with possibly the most generous portions in Dublin. My pork vellu starter was so bold but so good! The hake and mussel bisque was just divine and my aunt's and granny's lamb shank was melt in mouth. Seriously impressed with the prawn risotto - so light and fluffy and bursting with prawns. A Christmas lunch here is becoming tradition and with BYOB why wouldn't it be?! Have already booked next year's lunch coz its near impossible to get a booking. Oops!
