i have been coming to O'connells for years i love going there for Karioke with my friends and the atmosphere is great the Staff are lovely and the djays are the best overall I would recommend O'connells to everyone it is a great place in Dublin for Karioke and a night out
Reserved an area for friends surprise 40th on Saturday, great atmosphere, all staff are so friendly & helpful, food was lovely, live singer was great & karaoke was a good laugh. Everyone had a ball ....can't recommend this place enough & very central �
It was the end of the Hop On Hop Off Tour. And I was basically looking for the first drinking hole on the way to the bus that would take me back to the hotel. I was lucky I came across O’Connell’s first up.
Pretty early for a Friday evening - it wasn’t packed but you could feel the atmosphere. There were bigger things going to happen later in the day. I was recommended a Jameson Caskmate and I ordered a Caesar Salad. The former was an excellent spirit and the later simply went with it. The quantity was amazing - you basically can’t do much more after that. The banofee pie was really tempting but I just couldn’t put down anymore. I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you are not for the Temple Bar scene.
By the way, the service has to be appreciated - not just me, but I could see some elderly ladies getting the attention they deserve. If they can treat them well, I’m sure you will be taken care of adequately too.
I have called into this bar and restaurant every time I have been to Dublin. Super pint great atmosphere good food served at a very reasonable price.
Saw a couple of O'Connell Pubs in Dublin and on one of the nights hopped in this place.
Musician strumming his guitar and a lady customer dancing in the Irish steps was a delight while sipping the excellent Guinness.
Had a great evening chatting with the owner and the locals here.
I was recently at O'Connell's at 30 Bachelor's Walk, what a great time we had, the food, and atmosphere was fabulous. I highly recommend the penne pasta, it would of been enough for two but was oh so good.
