Love Finnegans for a fresh tasty lunch & with so many restaurants to choose from it stands out...my husband always has the fish pie which he says is the best. I tend to go for fresh fish & salad ~ on Friday I had the salad niçoise which was delish, we both had french fries on the side.
A group of people beside us had all the desserts ~ 1 of each which looked amazing, the pavlova was a colliseum, we would have liked to have had dessert but we were stuffed!!!
We were lucky to get a table, most were reserved, so it is wise to book.
We have been here many times winter & summer & it is always good.
You are greeted & treated very well, made to feel like a local.
It is also a great place to watch the sport - rugby football cricket tennis...& it is also a great place for 5 or more drinks in the evening, a bit of a gin palace in victorian splendour.
FABULOUS food, with excellent menu choices all year round. They serve the very best tasting meringue ever, and the cheesy topped crab pot is to die for. All YUMMY. Attentive service makes for a wonderful dinning experience. I would highly recommend a visit, booking is must to avoid disappointment. It's a YES for me. X
Excellent staff, always friendly. Definitely I loved this place! ! They have music and games every Sunday night.
