Came here for New Years Eve as it was ny girlfriends birthday. Really good vibe, relaxed atmosphere and the cocktails are out of this world so much when we paid the bill we moved from the table to the bar just so we could see them being made. All of the staff were super friendly including the waitress who came over to us when at the bar with a piece of paper with the names of bars with the best cocktails in Dublin. We visited 1 after and she wasnt wrong! The food goes without saying.. that was lovely too. Would definately recommend!

I came today on my own for breakfast to sit outside with my papers. Great location and lovely outdoor seating. Food, I ordered a mixed grill - Beautifully glazed bacon (although I needed a steak knife to eat it) but the flavour was really good. I was a bit sceptical of the pudding as it wasn't like pudding I'd normally eat, it was a little runny but the chef cooked it more for me and then i really liked it. It was really flavoursome and far superior to black puddings I had before. The service was excellent. This is a great place for meat lovers.

I've been wanting to come here for a while. The menu looks so tasty but the price tag was keeping me away. I then saw a voucher on Taste.ie for a 3 course meal for two, with a bottle of wine, for only €57.50!! So I got my chance!

I emailed to make a booking for a Thursday evening that morning and they replied straight away to say no problem. I was seated immediately and they served me the bottle of wine as I waited for my friend to arrive. The restaurant itself has a gorgeous set up, somehow quaint but big at the same time. The walls are lined with wine bottles, but also have many windows to allow natural light.

Presentation of every course was perfect. Bread and oils were served to us first. I then ordered pil pil and the ribeye steak with parmesan salad. Prawns were served in a little pan and a "just right" size portion. The steak was cooked to perfection and the parmesan salad went so well with it. Tomatoes on the side, which I didn't expect, just added to it as I love them with steak. I finished the whole thing!

For dessert I tried the poached strawberries, which I'd never had before, on our waitress' recommendation. I'm glad I trusted her as it was a fab choice.

Overall, my meal was literally perfect. Couldn't fault it at all. The staff are so polite and helpful. Myself and my friend were there for so long chatting, even after our dessert and they didn't mind at all! I will most definitely be back and recommend everyone try!!

Came here last night for a midweek date night courtesy of a thetaste.ie voucher which afforded 3 courses and a bottle of vino. This place has been on my radar almost since it opened so was keen to check it out.

This is one of a growing number of Dublin restaurants who have adopted a bar / seating area in addition to the main dining room. I loved the curved walls as lined by columns of wine bottles (my kind of wallpaper!) and the cosy couches. We were sat in a booth area which was great – the right balance of privacy and ability to people watch ;) There are also a number of circular tables which is great to see as they facilitate larger groups so much better than square tables.

But enough about interiors – we were here for meat. BBQ meat. Upon ordering, we were served some bread which was devoured – I had come hungry. The brown bread was proper Irish country bread and was brimming with seeds and health. A good start. In lieu of butter, the bread was flanked by chimchurri oil which was gorgeous – think chilli olive oil but nicer.

For starters, I had the prawn pil pil which was surprisingly hot but the prawns were very juicy and most certainly not overcooked. Himself had the chicken wings which were surprisingly sweet – I had been expecting a smokey flavour but these made for a great surprise. Thankfully, a water bowl came to our aide as our fingers were very much on the sticky side.

It is a pity that the fish of the day was cod as it is possibly my least favorite fish, so instead I opted for the lamb hangman, while Himself had the pichancha steak for a small supplement. His steak was rather on the blue side as per his request, and was delicious. Would have liked some greens to counterbalance the dish but the skinny chips went down well nonetheless. The pepper sauce and tomato were on the more non-descript side. My dish however, was a showstopper. Despite the menu describing it as ‘hangman’ I was no more expecting a chain of lamb meatballs to be presented on a standing skewer on the table. Impressive, if a little nervy as the space around the plate was immeditaley limited. Himself conceded that the lamb was better than his steak, while the accompanying cucumber yogurt, romesco sauce, Moroccan tabbouleh and grilled courgette were all lovely and brought it all together.

Finally for dessert, I (unsurprisingly) went for the dark chocolate and coffee mousse as served with sable biscuits in a hearty mug. Lovely and creamy. Himself went for the more savoury option of the cheese board and was served a very generous 3 chunks of cheese, grapes, relish, quince jam and a selection of crackers. Kudos to the kitchen for proving more than one type of cracker!!

All in all a lovely meal, particularly if you after meat!

Visited here Friday night with my boyfriend. We had a rewarding times voucher.

Overall the food was excellent, I had the risotto with porcini mushrooms and was surprised to find a delightful poached egg with some kind of breadcrumb on top- this was total comfort food, even thinking about it now my mouth is watering!! Neil had the chicken wings, he loved them, not to my taste, more like a sweet chill flavour, I prefer my chicken wings to be doused in sweet tomatoey goodness!

We had a middle course of gambas&tomato stick, a fantastically flavoured prawn with well balanced tomato purée.

For mains he had a wonderful burger, homely and moreish with an array of flavours fantastically thought through.

I had a lovely, well cooked steak with a nice creamy pepper sauce. I was irritated by the rocket and Parmesan salad I ordered. It was literally just rocket with 3 slices of Parmesan. A drizzle of olive oil or balsamic vinegar would have made me feel like someone actually cared.

The deserts were the weak point, Neil had a cheese cake which was over powered with lime and I had ice cream (the only other option on our deal) which was fine, but it was ice cream.

Overall I liked the food but I couldn't shake the feeling that I was in a Ross O'Carroll Kelly novel, this may have been impacted on by the fact that the man beside me by telling his date things like a) how much he made in his last bonus and b) how many press ups he could do.

We got amazing value on our voucher, but if I was paying full price, I would much rather attend a restaurant where I was made feel like the staff were happy I was there.

Great location, surroundings and friendly staff. Majority of the food was excellent. Had a good sample of the selection as there was 7 of us dining. I had the burger which was slightly over complicated with too many sauces which over powered the flavour of the beef. The cheese on the burger was too strong and salty which added to masking the flavour of the beef. The steaks and fish were very good with simple accompaniments which allowed the fish and meat be the star of the show. The starters were all excellent and we got to sample a new possible addition to the menu and compare with the current iteration of the dish. We were well looked after by the staff with nothing being too much of an ask.
We were given complimentary desert which was a welcome surprise and very much appreciated. After dinner coffee was lovely which was nice as often coffee selection is over looked by some restaurants.
The meal overall was very good value. It is definitely worth a visit and I will certainly be returning again.

This is a lovely find tucked away off baggot street. The setting is nice with booth seating if your are in a group. The service was excellent with a good choice of wine on the menu. It's a great place for a long lunch! If you are going all out note that the asador fries are quite skinny so triple cooked chips are a better option!!

Great restaurant with good service, vibe and excellent dishes from starters to deserts. Also good wine selection. However when you ask a medium rare steak and you get it almost well done its unforgivable for an Argentinian steakhouse. The rest of the meal saved the day. Great dinner, but... The place is great and the service is fantastic! The starters were delicious, in particular the butternut risotto was to die for! The desserts were out of this world! However, the steaks were not perfect: the meat was good quality but we asked for a medium-rare and the steak was nearly well done! Nevertheless, still a great meal!

I brought my sister here for her birthday and she is still talking about her dinner! She loved it so much.she had the fish on the night and she moaned while eating it so it must have been good! I had steak it was more rare than medium and very chewy so I found that slightly offputting, in saying that I still ate it all. I got home made ice cream for dessert. One scoop tasted like grass or some kind of herbs. I love the chefs ambition and risk here but no... please no herbs in the ice cream.

I love this restaurant I've been a good few times. I'm not a meat eater so the choices for vegetarians are limited enough but what they do have is excellent. Would recommend the veggie burger. The deserts are also amazing - sticky toffee pudding is superb! The staff are really nice and all in all a great experience each time.
