Hadn't eaten here in years. Had beautiful loin of bacon and the veg and mash were cooked perfectly. Margaret our server was wonderful and finished off with an orange posset to die for, I don't usually do desserts but this was delicious

Just home from a beautiful mothers day lunch. I know mothers day can be the busiest day of the year but the atmosphere was really calm and all the staff were friendly and efficient! We had the mozzarella and goats cheese salads as starters. My mum absolutely loved the goats cheese mousse. And the mozzarella was amazing. Such high quality cheeses. I had the juiciest burger for my main and my mum had the haddock and chips. Again, beautiful, and the attention to detail in the presentation was incredible! Love the little pots for sauces! I had the chocolate pudding for dessert. Really moist and the pistachio crumb was delicious! Even though i was "full" I ate every bit! And my mum lord her apple crumble! Finished it all off with cappuccinos. Absolutely perfect lunch. Hadn't been in about 2 years, but will definitely be hitting the beer garden all summer and trying all those lovely gins I spied behind the counter! 😍😍 good work Ashtons! You've gained a new regular!
