Masala

Ever since we moved to Ireland from India two years ago, nowhere could we find the authentic Indian food outside of our own kitchen. We have an Indian fine-dining restaurant right in the center of our village square but after having one meal there, we never gave them another chance. A few days ago, we saw that an Indian takeaway called 'Masala' has opened not too far from our house. Stopped by this evening and our order comprised of samosas, chicken lababdar and butter naan. I had asked for butter-chicken but the polite person at the counter suggested that the other similar gravy might appeal to our spice-loving Indian taste-buds more. I can't describe the joy I witnessed on taking that first bite of the samosa. After a long time, I had Indian food not cooked by myself and on top of that, everything was SO VERY DELICIOUS! The lababdar gravy was as authentic as it comes and not at all like the standard gravies you get in Indian restaurants all over the UK, Ireland and other places outside of India. The mango chutney too is to die for! The only change that I can think of recommending would be smaller chicken pieces in the gravy but that would truly be nit-picking at my end. My husband and I are so so happy that Masala has opened nearby and without a doubt, it will be our regular takeaway option from now on. Really MAZAA AA GAYA! Cheers! :D
