We were 6 ladies on our first visit to el celler, great food and lovely wine. The service was excellent but we did order too much and had to cancel two tapas, which they did no problem. It was recommended that we order 2 each to start we, but we had ordered 3. We had lovely tortilla, calamari, padron pepper, cod and chicken croquettes, prawns, one meat and one cheese platter, ribs and to finish a portion of churros. All delicious. Also a lovely cosy space with a wood burning stove. The entrance into the market was lit by lanterns which was lovely . We will be back
Visited elcellerdublin last night in Blackrock market. Having lived and worked in Spain I have a high expectation of tapas/pinxto and am so often let down in Ireland. El Celler did not disappoint. The ambiance is just incredible, stone walls, stove lit, warm candles. Then there's the food...And the wine! The wine list is just exquisite. We started with a glass of Cava which was so crisp and delicious and then I went on to Albarino. Definitely will try the Rueda next time. I can see how you'd easily loose hours in here sampling from the wine list and food pairing while chatting with the friendly staff. We had Pan y salsa (and they even had gluten free bread for me), traditional Galician fried peppers, gambas in garlic and chilli (the oil marinade was insane, salivating thinking about it), charcuterie board with a tasty mix of lomo, chorizo, saussisons and seranno. To finish we had a Crema Catalana to share...All in all the best date night we've had in a long time, up there with the culinary heights experienced in the streets of San Sebastian. A must visit.
Went a few weeks back with two friends and the service and food was incredible ! Cannot fault this place at all! Would recommend the seafood in particular , cannot wait to go back I have a feeling that the chef and owner may be the same person because it's a proper experience rather than just dinner
