I just attended a hen party at Glasha Farmhouse with my friends last weekend! All I can say is wow! I can understand why Daniel O'Donnell and Majella took a trip to Waterford to stay in this spectacular B&B. The hospitality well surpassed anything I've ever experienced before at any other B&B or hotel. No stone was left unturned by the fabulous owner Olive. The food was to die for. The breakfast menu was mouth-watering to say the least and offered a wide range of choices! I chose the American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup! They were to die for! The staff were so highly professional but friendly and warm at the same time! The rooms were fab and we all slept like babies! Glasha is situated a stones throw away from the stunning Nire Valley so our group headed out on a picturesque walk with a guide, recommended by Olive. It was amazing to see the beautiful Nire Lakes- the surrounding views were breathtaking! I know I'm going on but the highlight of the weekend was the afternoon tea party that Olive threw for our hen party. We'd arranged to have it in the beautiful conservatory but when we arrived back from our walk we discovered that Olive and staff had set up the afternoon tea out on the patio in the garden- taking advantage of the amazing weather! Garden arches, benches, a fountain, bunting and fab decor! It was so special for us and for the bride herself! What a surprise! Thank you Olive and staff for such a memorable weekend! We'll be back for sure!
5 star experience! Spent a truly amazing weekend here for a hen party. The attention to detail was second to none and Olive was a fantastic hostess. The rooms are very modern and stylish. The food is to die for especially that fruity porridge for breakfast! We were also treated to afternoon tea in the beautiful gardens, utterly delightful. I've been lucky enough to stay in many 5 star establishments around Ireland and this was up there with the best of them-top class!
