Liss Ard Estate is just perfect. We had the most magical wedding there.
The house and grounds are stunning, and the food and service is top notch.
The Sky Garden is such a special place, and the rest of the grounds are so beautiful, a really magical place just bursting with life and beauty, but also so tranquil. We arrived the night before our wedding, with our families and wedding party, and instantly relaxed. If you want an exclusive, all in one venue, for just your guests, with stunning surroundings and fantastic service and food, definitely check out Liss Ard.
The staff were fantastic throughout, especially Mags the wedding planner who was always available in the run up to the day, and was so lovely and warm, but also just thinks of everything to make the day run smoothly; she’s extremely good at her job, you will be in great hands with her. The GM Aidan is also great, and worked some long hours to make sure our wedding party had the best time. He also arranged for us to have a tree planting ceremony the day after our wedding, which was something we really wanted to do, to leave a lasting memory of our wedding day. He also arranged for some a/v equipment we left behind to make it back up to Cork for collection by us there the week after the wedding, which was just going above and beyond.
The food at Liss Ard is just stunning, and Chef Danny easily catered for our vegan and veggie guests (of whom there were quite a few) as well as other dietary requirements. All the guests raved about the food, because it’s exquisite.
The American side of our group just loved everything about Liss Ard; if you’re looking for a venue to wow all your guests, go and visit Liss Ard, we would highly recommend it as a venue.
Truly a lovely place with lovely people. Peace, tranquility and a warm atmosphere. Fabulous food from the resident chef with a breakfast to die for. There are a number of establishments in Ireland who could learn a lot from Liss Ard's warmth and professional hospitality which was displayed by everyone we came into contact with.
We got married two weeks ago and from start to finish Mags Aidan Danny and team were absolutely fantastic to deal with, I would highly recommend Liss Ard a beautiful venue with outstanding staff we had the most amazing day and got beautiful pictures on the grounds it really is a special place right on our doorstep

If I could give a higher star rating than 5 I would. Last weekend, I celebrated my 50th birthday party at Liss Ard Estate. Mags, Aidan, Danny and all the staff at Liss Ard were first class.. nothing was too much trouble and they looked after all my guests as if they were VIPs. The food was amazing and loved by all, the accommodation was perfect and matched all my requirements. We were lucky with the December weather to be able to get out for a lovely walk around the Estate on Sunday morning and enjoyed the tranquility of the beautiful grounds in the winter sunshine. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Liss Ard Estate as a venue for any and all celebrations .. you will be treated with such care and attention, it feels like your own home!
Relaxing and beautiful, the staff are so friendly and accommodating. The rooms are amazing. The Irish sky garden is also 100% worth a visit. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants to unwind and enjoy the Irish hospitality.
Liss Ard Estate is a magical place, where you can just relax your mind and let your thoughts flow freely.... I was enchanted by this wonderful garden, the beautiful lake etc. The staff who are working there are so friendly and caring. The food is just delicious. All in all I just wanna thank you so much for this unique experience.

Hugh & I had our wedding here and would reccommend it for a spectacular venue to get married in. The food, staff, venue, grounds and accommodation is 5 star! Its also a very relaxing place to stay for a weekend.
I love this place a tinsy winsy little bit more than I already did, if that’s possible! I was privileged to once work here and I was passionate about it, but I didn’t often get chance to appreciate and enjoy it. I recently rented the Lake Lodge for two nights, invited all my nearest and dearest to celebrate a milestone birthday and have a family gathering , it has been absolutely magical. Nothing is too much trouble for the Liss Ard Team, they couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating . All our guests were blown away by the property , the stunning grounds and the James Turrell Sky Garden. Thank you Liss Ard
An out of this world experience,fabulous setting lake and gardens,wonderful friendly people looking after you,no bother easy going without being in your face,they work hard,but always a smile no matter what time of day or night.I would recommend this wonderful place as an experience not to be missed.

I really don’t know where I can begin to start about Liss Ard Estate and it’s staff. This place is like a little slice of paradise, it is just stunning. It is very local to me but before we went looking for venues I had never been here, and I cannot figure out why!
From the get go Aidan was so extremely friendly and professional and it didn’t feel at all like we were in another typical wedding venue - which is what we both really did not want. He doesn’t try to constantly throw the most expensive options at you but instead gave us really good advice on where we could save a bit and where was best to splurge. He was really accommodating with every aspect of our day, it literally felt like we had the whole weekend tailored for ourselves. Mags is an absolute Saint and so much fun from the start - always at the end of an email, full of advice and answering my million questions! She even climbed into a bush the morning of my wedding to help get some flowers for decorations I had wanted to hang up!! Literally, she is super woman!!
The food was out of this world, as is clear from all the other reviews.. it’s not an exaggeration! Our guests are still talking about just how good it was weeks later. Danny the chef was very easy to deal with and they put on a fantastic hog roast for us the second day also. We had a few guests with dietary requirements and all of them made a point to tell us how impressed they were with the staff who were very attentive and were offering alternatives for them before they had to go looking for it.
I dont feel like words can really do any justice. The hardest part was definitely having to leave. It was like a home from home for the weekend of our wedding and we have the most unbelievable memories to take away from it.

We stayed in the coach house. Beautiful room but no hot water for the entire stay. Breakfast was great with lots of choice. The main house is grand indeed and a treasure in West Cork. We spent a few hours exploring the grounds including the sky garden and lake is stunning. So the only negative was the lack of hot water. I highly recommend a visit.

Had a wonderful stay here. We brought our dog with us and mags was so welcoming. A really idyllic place to stay, with beautiful rooms and an amazing setting. Will definately be back!
