I have eaten in Room 8 a few times for lunch & couldn't fault it. The food & service is "always" fantastic! Last night I went for an evening meal for the first time at Room 8 & Wow! I did know it was going to be good because the day time food is lovely but I was blown away. The food was amazing, I had the best fillet steak (cooked to perfection) I ever had in Navan last night & the service wouldn't look out of place in a Michelin star restaurant! Fantastic ambience, with romantic candles & small little details everywhere you look. I will be back very soon! Highly recommend Room 8, 5 stars

OUTSTANDING!!
I have just turned vegan from vegetarian, and my 5 friends are all meat & fish eaters - and they were not disappointed either. Quite the opposite. The challenge for me as a new vegan when dining out, is I don't want to be a burden on a chef and the waiting staff. I mentioned when booking one of us was a vegan, which they advised was no problem, and told me they would call me that day to verify meal. True to their word, they called to check if I had any allergies. Upon sitting, I was incredibly surprised (and delighted!) to have the lovely waitress come to the table discreetly to show me a handwritten vegan menu with choice of 2 starters, 2 main course, and 2 vegan desserts! I opted for the mushroom starter cooked with beautiful flavours and a homemade sourdough bread - so so tasty, and lovely and light as a starter.
Next I opted for the Thai red curry with chickpeas, courgette and other veg, with mixed colour rice. It was simply beautiful - no tinned chickpeas here (if they were, I need to find out what brand, as I soak my own at home).
Finally the dessert was either a mango sorbet or a chocolate avocado mousse. It was Outstanding! A large portion so although I only ate half of it, it wasn't for lack of desire for it.
I was so impressed with the chef and waiting staff's special effort to accommodate me, so THANK YOU Room 8 team - outstanding meal, decor, ambiance.
I've already booked my next meal for December. Highly recommend. Well done guys! My omnivore friends were equally delighted with their fare - go here soon! 😀
I cannot say enough about the the experience we just had at room 8. I am vegan and contacted the restaurant to ask what was available for me and instead of the usual offering from many establishments of vegtable soup, vegetable stir fry and fruit salad, I was pleasantly surprised with a fantastic falafel salad, a spicy aromatic Thai sweet potato and chickpea curry all topped off by a chocolate avocado mouse dedicatedly sprinkled with hazlenuts accompanied by a blood orange sorbet to die for, heaven! My husband had some yummy sticky spicy wings and superbly cooked and very fresh pan fried seabass with a gorgeous light green leafy salad on the side, he stole half of my dessert. Add to all of this the friendly, bubbly very helpful table staff and you've got a winning combo. Just book a table now!!!
Just had the most delicious dinner in Room 8 and we really enjoyed it from start to finish, fantastic food and absolutely lovely staff , i highly recommend a visit to this Restaurant and we will definitely be back .Thank you for a lovely meal Room 8.
Have been here for Sat morning breakfast 3 weeks out of 4. My new fav spot. Staff are super. Veggie breakfast is top notch. My daughter loves the pancakes. Highly highly recommend. Lunch menu looks great too.
What a beautiful restaurant . Went for my birthday and it was fantastic, food is just delicious and really lovely friendly staff. Lovely cosy atmosphere too. Highly recommend this place .

Great food. ...super staff.....excellent service....what more could u want? For dinner in particular...we love the intimate surroundings. In a town center dominated by barbers, fast food.... and takeaways....Room 8 is a badly needed breath of fresh air. Keep up the great work !!!!! ����
I was here with my fiancé last night for my Birthday Dinner. We picked from the early bird menu, which was great value. The food was delicious. They had lovely specials on I got the goats cheese starter 👌🏻. Our waiter was very nice & sold the specials so well we could nearly taste the food as he explained them to us ☺️. The athmosphere was perfect. We are looking forward to our next visit.
