Came here over a week ago and really enjoyed this cute place. Run by these Italians where they create a nice atmosphere.
I shared a pizza with Dave. Yet he was violently hungover so got the pizza all to my self pretty much and while it was good. I think I would have ordered slightly differently, not because I didn't like the pizza we had but because I would have preferred a pizza with a bit more spice to it or a pepperoni type pizza.
Deliciously sounding rumors of That’s Amore in Monkstown has brought us in to this amazing family behind this Italian Restaurant.
Do not be fooled by the size of That’s Amore’s restaurant, While it is small we were greeted by funny waiters and cooks who made it a funny experience with jokes and made it such a lovely experience throughout the entire Dinner from the moment we stepped in.
Best Pizza about. Love this place so much. Always busy and the atmosphere is great.
Pizza is to die for, as is the wine :)
Have been many times before and will certainly be back
Classic Italian and the perfect setting. Love very little Classic Italian food that tastes great and is great value. I had starter, main and desert. The portions are rich and quite filling, but so tasty. Would recommend any pizza.
For starter got a aubergine baked which was full of flavour. For main, decided to try something a bit different and got an egg and ham pizza. The pizza and dough were freshly cooked and the flavours were incredible. I would actually finish it though, but was offered a doggy bags. I didn't think I could eat a desert, but decided to try the tiramisu, which was exactly like the one you would get in Italy. Absolutely lovely, will differently return
I have been so excited to try this place for so long and it was definitely worth the wait! I rang about 3 weeks in advance for my booking as the restaurant seats only about 20-25 people at one time in close proximity!
Our table was for 6:30pm and when we arrived we were greeted by the lovely staff who seated us. The menu is limited and what you expect from a typical Italian menu - starters of bruchetta, mains of pasta and pizza and very typical desserts such as pana cotta and tiramisu.
For starter we shared an aubergine bake dish - the names of the dishes are in Italian so I can't tell you the exact name! For mains I had the spicy tomato pasta with speck and rocket and Rory had a pizza! My gosh the size of the pizza - it was about as big as the table, thing and crispy! It was divine.
For dessert we split the tiramisu which was heavenly! I enjoyed two glasses of the Montepulciano, which is the only red wine you can get by the glass and my favourite.
Our bill came to €62 which was very reasonable.
I can't wait to got back again! I would highly recommend and if you can't wait to get a booking - they do take away pizza :)
Great authentic Italian restaurant with a great mini setting and fantastic authentic Italian service. Great food and well priced for the great quality. I rate this place very highly.
Hands down the best Italian in Dublin. Authentic, traditional, rustic and family run. You feel like you're in a little part of Italy by the monkstown seaside. The staff are so happy all the time and I always feel like I have all their attention when I'm there. Portions are huge so make sure you're hungry! The ingredients are fresh and cooked with respect to maintain their distinct character. Try the seafood pasta if it's on special!
