This place is fucking incredible... Even the Iberico was melt in the mouth, with fresh baked bread pieces as a simple bite while we waited... The steak, jesus, perfectly cooked, presented, and it tasted amazing... The lady serving us was fantastic, polite, etiquette and service were exemplary, my only complaint, is that despite my best efforts I couldn't make enough room for that chocolate fondant... I'll be back...
Oh, and an honorable mention for the wine list... It was excellent...

Tasting menu was sublime, every course seriously well executed. Loved the chicken ,and the potato and leek. Oyster Eaton mess seriously good.

Without doubt one of the best meals I've ever had! The food is incredible as is the service. Can't recommend highly enough. Go there now before the secret is out and you have to book months in advance.
I took a picture but it can't do enough justice. I had the eton mess oysters with horseradish parfait, beetroot meringue, there was tabasco & cayenne pepper in there too with a Parsley gel. I have never tasted anything so delightful. My tastebuds did the tango & I smiled through every single moment of eating it. So if this was my last meal I would die a very happy person with a smile on my face. I really can't recommend this high enough!

Had the most amazing dining experience in Bastion this weekend. Right from the very start it was welcoming and a casual comfortable like it was your own private restaurant. The staff are the best I've encountered in Ireland by far. Attentive (but not overly so), efficient, courteous and always a smile. Really well briefed on the menu, great guidance on wine. The food! Wow! The Bacon and Cabbage with the 63degree egg is A MUST to experience. Paul, the Chef came out to the table to present the dish, explain the composition and serve. The flavour, texture, the whole experience of that one dish would have made the night! But Bastion had more to come for us. The chateau briand! One bite and I had to control myself not to devour but to savour the most unbelievable flavour and tenderness of the meat. Amazing accompaniment of sauces. Beautiful Portuguese Douro red to accompany our meals. Fantastic desserts and cheeseboard to finish made this an unforgettable night out. New favourite restaurant!

AMAZING food! Especially the chowder! The best I have ever tasted, me and my boyfriend are chasing the next best thing and it's unbeatable! Every dish is exquisite, beautifully composed and delicious, amazing desserts! Helen and Paul are so warm and friendly and care so much about every element they share with you! Oh and the presecco on tap is fantastic! Obviously a must &I can't wait to visit again when I'm home! ☺️

Five star food, simply stunning #tapas plates and presentation. Everything from booking with Helen, the welcome on arrival, the room setting through to the atmosphere was superb. Paul & his team have brought something special to Kinsale. Book it and savour a culinary treat at a price that is worth paying! Will be back for sure. Tasted my dish of the year here,must try is the Rabbit & Iberico ham!
Most definitely one of the best dining experiences I have had in a long, long time. My friend and I both had the Goats Cheese starter, we both had the Beef Fillet as mains and they have it down to a fine art how to present your food here. The service was friendly and informative as they explain what is on your plate in front of you. We would have loved dessert but we opted for a second glass of raspberry blinni and pinot grigio instead. We will definitely be back to experience more.

Just want to thank you for a wonderful meal I had here recently. It's a stunning restaurant, everything was perfect from start to finish I was blown away. Lovely relaxed & intimate setting, the service was exceptional.. kudos to the staff and the food was absolutely amazing. Will be back again :-)
