Thank you to Owen and his staff in Kealeys Seafood Bar Greencastle Co Donegal for an absolutely fabulous meal tonight which I won in a Facebook competition.We were greeted and made feel most welcome by Owen.The menu is superb and even if you are not a fish eater there are other choices on the menu too .
My husband and I both love fish so I had Tian of crab to start and Pan roasted Turbot with colcannon and hollandaise sauce.
For dessert I had Tonka and Tequila ice -cream which was delicious.
My husband had Greencastle chowder , grilled fillet of John Dory and Creme brûlée for dessert .
Let me add that Owen also brought us beautiful breads and dips to start and in Between our starter and main course he appeared with Lemon sorbet.
We have ate in many fish Restauraunts here in Ireland and abroad but I really have to say that Kealeys Seafood Bar in Greencastle out shines them all.
I definitely recommend you eat there when you are visiting Inishowen.

Fantastic spot for lunch or dinner! Sitting by the window you can watch the water whilst enjoying fabulous Greencastle chowder or amazing smoked salmon platter served with lovely homemade wheaten bread. Delicious & thoroughly recommended!
What a refuge on this cold, still Winter but should be Spring night! Ok, it’s St Patrick’s Day and people are elsewhere doing other things but we weren’t totally alone, and I expect this place is full for the rest of the year ... sublime seafood, caught locally and cooked exquisitely by the owner/chef and served with charm and perfect attention by both James and his colleague (didn’t catch her name).... so sorry this isn’t my local restaurant - I wouldn’t eat anywhere else!

Had calamari to start my wife had the mussels both were beautiful....
We had monkfish and pan fried hake main courses . The hake had crisp skin cooked to perfection on a white bean and chorizo cassoulet which was BEAUT!
Don't normally go for a desert but thought it would be a shame not to take a chance. Lol
Had a chocolate and hazelnut mouse with hazelnut ice cream and salted caramel sauce , 1 word..... devine....
Every thing top drawer, keep up the good work guys ... Can't wait to get here again.
always have had a lovely meal here when staying in greencastle. Food delicious and lovely setting and service. would highly recommend it.
We always try to schedule in a visit to Kealy's when we are visiting from Scotland. Stopped in for some bar food which was excellent as ever and a Margarita as a reward for a not so arduous walk along the shore but any excuse is better than none. Kealy's Margaritas are the best I have ever had - and I have put in some extensive round the world research into this subject. Thank You for another lovely experience!

We stopped in for lunch today. What a delightful, honest, unsullied establishment with fantastic service and delicious seafood. 7 of us had chowders, mussels, smoked salmon plates with the most delightful little Wheaten scones warm and inviting. Service was excellent, food great. Watching the water and the weather roll in and out was a pleasure.
My husband had the mussels which were a bit on the small side but there were plenty of it though, so no complaints on the portion size. My oyster were lovely and we loved our main course. All in all an awesome meal ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
One of the best meals my wife and I have had in a long time, we'll definitely be visiting this gem again!
Just back from having a fabulous and delicious meal at this wee seafood bar. Fantastic service everything explained to you. Well done to the chef we were here over 20 years ago glad we came and will definitely make a return visit
