This restaurant is one of the best Italian restaurants I have visited - not only in Galway - in Ireland.
The staff are lovely, friendly and efficient and the home-made food is delicious. My personal favourites are Polpette in Umido (Meatballs in a spicy tomato sauce) for starter, followed by Spaghetti Carbonara. Put this together with a full bodied red wine and you're in culinary heaven.
I haven't managed to get to desert yet as I'm always full at this point. They look great, maybe next time.
Try out La Colina. I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Great food & menu & service , well worth a visit if you like fresh pasta, pizza or rissoto.
This is the second time we have visited and the food was just as amazing the second time around. We opted for the antipasto to share as a starter and each element was mouthwatering. The king prawn, shrimp and mussel linguine was also delicious. I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant when visiting Salthill.

Real Italian food in Galway! One of the best tagliolini mari e monti ever had!
Fabulous meal on wednesday night, last minute booking for 10 of us. Everyone was stuffed after a starter and main. The meatballs in tomato sauce starter was amazing. House red wine was a lovely fruity number. And less than €40 per head for 2 courses and about 6 bottles of wine. Staff were attentive but unobtrusive, precisely perfect

What an unplanned surprise ! Food was amazing and so fresh, could not fault anything! Service and staff were excellent and so informative and knowledgeable...can't believe I only found this place now when I'm leaving Galway...best of luck to all at la Collina in the future, next time I'm in Galway I'll be back for sure.
A warm comfortable environment. The restaurant is very clean, well decorated, with friendly staff. The food and service were above my expectations. If you come to Galway, and have a craving for a Italian dinner, this is the place to come. I came in hungry and walked out completely satisfied.

Myself and my husband ate here on Thursday night, and what can I say... it truly was a delight for the taste buds! I'm a celiac and find it hard to get tasty food, but what I got here was absolutely amazing! I started with the mushrooms cooked in garlic and brandy cream, and for main course I had chicken breast with a mushroom, garlic and rosemary sauce! It was so tasty, that neither of us ordered dessert so we could cherish the taste for longer! I will definitely be calling again, the next time I'm in Salthill
