Very nice japanese food and drink. Not to mention, in my opinion the nicest coffee in all of Galway. If you like coffee then the particular kind of coffee they do at this japanese cafe ('Sumiyaki Coffee' is what its called) is totally what you want. They also do very nice japanese teas as well (I recommend the Hoji-cha tea, very nice at this place must say). The sushi here is all pretty nice too but my favorite dish for one has most got to be their special, the beef tofu bowl. Very nice that one, honestly must say.
Kat, Jim, and loved this small cozy place. It’s big on flavor. Kat said best Katsudon she has ever had.
Mine was yummy too, with tofu instead of pork cutlet.

This place is small but has lots of character. The menu is simple but oh so tasty (I had the teriyaki tofu, yum). As for the owner, he was very helpful and welcoming. I will come back!
A bit too much of cabbages, but otherwise, this was a fantastic dinner, while still being affordable. Recommending to anyone wanting some japanese food. Teriyaki chicken is a killer!
Very enjoyable place, great little gem in the city center, best fish I have had in years their Teriyaki Salmon was cooked to perfection.

I was there with my partner yesterday- the service was excellent, miso and sushi very fresh and tasty. We love a Japanese cuisine and it fulfilled our expectations. We definitely will go back there.
When I eat at Kappa ya I always feel like I'm being nourished in the best possible way. Jinishi's food is prepared with care and attention, and the atmosphere is pleasant and welcoming. Good music too. �
