Enjoyed a lovely meal here last night. Had the eye fillet which was served with a parmesan rocket salad and sauteed onions. Food was very tasty. Ordered the apple and blueberry crumble for desert which was scrummy.

Hartley's is an absolutely gorgeous setting! I've been here a few times as a few friends are major fans.

The menu wouldn't be my favourite. The fish is always fresh and good and if you are a wings person they are nice. I decided to try something new the last time I was there. I got the beetroot burger. It was ok, surprisingly a little oily. It had a very strong tasting horse radish relish on top, a little sickening. If you don't want chips sides are limited enough. My friends got fish and chips and it was delicious! Desert wise, the peanut butter brownie is divine and they are famous for their Sunday's.

What I love about Hartley's is the atmosphere. Have been at 2 large celebrations here. The cocktails are fantastic and the staff are top notch!

Very nice restaurant in Dun Laoghaire. It's a bit pricey, but the set menu is good value. The squid we had for starters were amazing and the portions are quite big, especially for desserts! I have seen they have tables outside and I can't wait to go back there during Summer or Spring... Nice location, good food and kind staff, I'd definitely recommend it!

I was in Hartley's last night with a group of ten people. It was a work night out. We arrived at 7:30pm into the bar first which was lovely the bar man was great at recommending good wines and cocktails! The dinner then was fab lots of choice from the menu and their specials board! I had the fish cakes to start which were yum then for mains I had the chicken wings starter portion which is massive!!! Loved it all! Great ambiance in the place, it was very busy for a Wednesday night! Service was super. Was a great night and would highly recommend

Hartley's do a great early bird menu, two courses for 24.50. Was my second visit to Hartley's and I will definitely be back again. Ordered the spicy hot chicken wings to share with my boyfriend. Apologies for the picture, as we demolished them! They are perfect for sharing as the portion is massive! For main had fish and chips with minty mushy peas. The chips are very tasty! For dessert we shared the ice cream sundae. I would definitely recommend it as there is a whole brownie mixed among ice cream and cream... Not healthy but so worth it! Service was great and staff are eager to ensure you are enjoying your meal. If you are looking for simple favourite dishes cooked perfectly in a brilliant setting, Hartleys is the place to be!

Located in the old train station right on the harbour, Hartley's is a beautiful old building with a lovely modern interior. The food and service are great, I had a lovely light starter of gambas pil pil and sourdough and a delicious beef burger with skinny fries for my main. All very tasty. We were a very large group & were well looked after by staff. Close enough to take a walk along Dun Laoghaire pier after dinner. Hartley's is always an enjoyable evening out.

Hartleys has been a Dun Laoghaire staple for over five years now and it's not hard to see why. The building Hartley's is housed in is magnificent, the space formerly being the Dun Laoghaire (then Kingstown) train station ticketing hall. There's a gigantic bar at the far end of the restaurant and a large terrace outside overlooking the harbour that's open in the summer. Everything is very ornate, with formal table settings and the staff while friendly and professional, were a little over attentive which makes the atmosphere a little formal for my taste, but probably wouldn't bother me had it been a bit busier. Myself and my colleague went for the lunch special roast in a roll which was a striploin steak and chips for a tenner. It went down a treat and was the perfect remedy to a cold day on the streets. They also have one of the best craft beer selections in Dun Laoghaire. Definitely worth a trip!
