It didn't WOW me but it's tasty I can't deny it. Also it did wow me that how hipster it was ;) Toppings are free-- it is a plus. It is a bit hidden, you might get confused as a tourist. It is in the upstairs!!!
----
A wow burger indeed! This place is located beneath a pub. You take the stairs down to find the menu and a stand to order. After you place your order they call your number so that you can pick up your food. The menu is limited but the result is a guaranteed satisfaction. We tried the hamburger, bacon cheese burger, the regular and thegarlic butter fries. The burger comes with 2 tender and delicious patties. The garlic butter is a good add to the fries. The bacon cheese burger was very delicious and the ingredients were fresh. The meal was really satisfying!! Recommended!
The best burger in dublin hands down and the selection of toppings that are free are a big + .. only getting around to writing this review now have had food here countless times . Easy on the pockets aswell! Get the garglic chips!! 😮
As good, if not better than Bunsen, plenty of seating and the garlic butter fries are amazing! I like how all the toppings are free and they have a good selection- the wowburger sauce is so good. Tiny menu done really well ! They also have a branch in Rathmines which is larger, its two floors.
Was initially WOWed by the burgers here thought they really gave some other popular places a run for their money! Recently visited the new locations while prices remain good felt quality had dipped a bit... burger was a bit greasy.. All in all a good burger still just hope to be WOWed again on my next visit!!
After seeing so much praise for Wowburger, I had to try it!
It didn't wow me, but I did have one of the best burgers I've ever tried. There were two patties, so it had plenty of tasty meat. The bun isn't the type I prefer, but it was good and had a very nice colour. The ingredients that complemented the burger were delicious and the hot sauce was actually spicy. The garlic butter fries were also a real treat!
The free refills are a nice touch and the place has a very cool mood. Good price for quality!
Holy balls! This is the best burger I've had since I left America! Sort of Five Guys-ish, but the chilli fries and garlic butter fries set them apart.
Wow burguer was a great experience. Though they don't have vegetarian options in the menu they made a very tasty mushroom-cheese-onion&sauce "burguer" !
I ordered the garlic butter fries. They were good but they lacked the garlic taste and were a bit too buttery.
The place itself is amazing and so interesting with its unique decoration!
The staff was super nice!
A must comeback

Tricky spot to find (we walked around the block a good two times, ha!), but definitely worth it once you get there. Great atmosphere, friendly service and delicious burgers. Do not regret a single calorie ;)
It was a difference experience in the city center. It is a bit difficult to find but it is really nice. Good burgers, tasty and at a good price. American fast food with different combinations to try, the sauces are very good. The onion rings not so tasty. Chips are amazing.
Recomend you to try, it is a good place, different from what the typical Dublin restaurants offers.
Yes, it is a 5 out of 5!
It was very hard to pick between Bunsen and Wowburger but the latter will take the best in town award in my opinion.
Located on the top floor of Bison Bar, it is not easy to find. But let me tell you: it is worth every effort to reach it.
With a urban touch to it, not as "branch" looking as Bunsen, wowburgers as an effective service and just enough menu range for the ones craving an awesome burger.
Now, the food:
The burger was just superb! Cooked perfectly e with all the juices preserved. I could spend a whole paragraph describing it but the best I can say is: just go there!
Also, the fries are amazing! Try the garlic fries and you will be surely delighted
A must go in Dublin!
Wow wow wow 😳 milkshakes here are the 💣. Garlic chips are extra smelly , wouldn't advise for people who despise garlic lol. Chances are high I'll be back here next week #wowaddict
The Best burguer and chips that i've eaten, the most delicious. Good place and good music. The staff is very kind. When i come back to Dublin, I'll go there again!
Went to Wow burger after looking for a Hamburger while on Vacation in Dublin, Was very clean, nice people. Kinda hard to find but, if you ask someone they will direct you. was a short walk from the Maldron Smithfield hotel. I got the Hamburger Bacon burger with the Garlic butter fries. everything was good. was less then 10.00 euros. worth the walk
The best burger I've had in Dublin, reminds me of In n Out. I went on a Sunday and it was so good I went back the following Wednesday. And the garlic butter fries are addictive! Great portions, very affordable
Had heard about Wowburger being a hidden gem in the Workmans club and I can say it did not disappoint. We were served quickly with the option to eat indoors or outdoors and our food was served within 5 minutes. We both opted for bacon cheese burgers and fries. Delish after a busy day. The fries come ready salted and the burgers come with multiple options of toppings for free which is always a plus! Served in cool circus themed packaging. Great stop for a quick bite and would recommend to a friend 👍🏼
It's completely worth the search! Because the burgers are realy great!
The main dificulty about this place is to find it. You can use gps, Google Maps or any other app, but you will not find it on the street. Wowburger is located on the interior of a building (or several buildings), and the easiest way to get there is through the Bison Bar.
The place is an outdoor pateo behind the buildings, with really nice decoration, in a beach bar style. The service is very nice and friendly, and you won't have to wait long for the burgers.
You can choose 3 types of burgers and the all the toppings you can imagine. We asked the bacon cheeseburger with everything... and it was great!! First of all, the meat is delicious, full of flavour. But the toppings are also great, and they don't "impose" themselves over the meat! Even the bun is great, perfect size and taste! A really, really great burger!
As for the sides, we tried the chilli fries, with real chilli on top of them, and we had mixed feelings... it's good if you like chilli (and we do) but the fries become very mushy. But that was our choice.
So, it may be difficult to find the first time you go there. But we assure you will go again. And again.
Because nobody can resist a great burger! ;)

Wowburger is WOW. Such a treat! I said before I think it's better than Bunsen but I think I'm torn. I much prefer the Bunsen locations and restaurants. The burgers are unreal though, love the wow sauce and the garlic butters fries are incredible. So worth a visit.
Deixou saudades.
Best burger in Dublin second only to Bunsen but the fact they allow you as many toppings for no extra charge is a huge plus.
We had bacon cheeseburgers with the garlic fries which were slightly heavy and the flavour was overpowering.
However situated in the outside area of Workman's this is the perfect place for a fun lunch or quick bite. Very friendly staff also!
The menu is simple and the burgers, fries and shakes are all really nice, in my opinion the best burger around dublin but i havent tried bunsen so we will have to wait and see. The only bad thing is when people are smoking near you while you are eating.
This place is located right inside the smoking area of the Workman's night club. I found it a bit grubby. However the burger was delicious!! I believe Bunsen is better and priced approximately the same so I wouldn't be rushing back here when I can enjoy a burger just as good in a cleaner and warmer environment!!
This is my second time here and I enjoyed it even more second time round. I got the bacon cheeseburger and crispy onion bits. Both were delicious. The burgers are made to order and are really juicy so the napkins are well needed. In my opinion this is the best burger in dublin and ill be returning many more times
Good burgers, great sauce and excellent sides!
There is a lot of fuzz around this place lately. Some might say it is the best joint in Dublin for burgers, others like me will argue :) Don't get me wrong, Wowburger is still great, but a bit overrated in my opinion.
The meat is not so great as in other places (you know what I mean!), though is good and tasty. However, they have a great sauce and stuff to add to the burger that makes it really tasty.
Finally, the sides are really excellent. The onion bits are the best I've tried so far! Definitely a must have. Also the garlic fries and the chili fries are really good. It's hard to choose. I must say the chili on the chili fries is really good...like good in the way I could eat it by itself and still would be a good meal :)

Really nice burgers and great sides!!!
I was to try the Wowburger for a while now, just to understand what the fuzz was all about! Well, it's a little bit overrated but still a great place to get a really good burger!! Got the bacon cheeseburger and how good and crispy was that bacon? Delicious!! Great seasoning on the sauce and meat as well! Loved the sides: tried the garlic fries, the chili fries and onion bits!! The batter on the onions was something!!
Great place!! The best burger in Dublin? Maybe not, but close!!!
Wow burger is right. Loved it. It was a proper hardcore patty that wasn't perfectly formed, lovely little burnt bits on it with cheese melted on it. All the toppings are free and I felt like ordering all of them but refrained myself and got fried onions, mushrooms and salad. I had a pint in Bison bar and actually left the pub, walked outside, and then into the Workmans, up the stairs to the smoking area where this place is. Turns out you can walk between the two pubs - duh - you've been warned. It wasn't expensive either - around €6/7. Perfect to eat if you are having a few drinks as we all know it's very dangerous to eat on an empty stomach. Your hangover will thank you for stocking up on this burger.
Super cool inside the outside area upstairs in workmans its almost like a little hide away that you can just get away from the streets of Dublin during the day listen to some good music have a sneaky pint and a fantastic burger all topings are free and the garlic butter fries and out of this world good and so is the burger simple and executed brilliantly
First time here. After friends have been recommending this place for ages i decided to try it and i am so glad i did. I had the bacon cheeseburger with garlic butter fries. It was amazing. Very greasy but i devoured the whole thing. I will absolutely be coming back.@
Place is on the roof and only covered with a tarpaulin, so avoid when freezing outside !
Apart from that, best burger and freedom to add any topping available for no extra cost. And you get a double patty...
Chili fries are fantastic !
Really enjoyed my first wow burger! I had a beef burger, pickle, lettuce, tomato and wow burger sauce. The burger was delish and under 5e... All your toppings are included! Great value. I had the garlic butter fries as a side and they were out of this world - salty, garlicly, delicious chips!!! Yum!! They are a must.
This place is tucked away in the outside area of workmans club, you enter through bison bar so it's not the easiest place to find but its so good!!
This place is definitely worth a try!
All I can say is Wow! Great spot! Defo was taken aback by the setting- in the smoking area of the workmans club! But the burger was seriously delicious! Love that all the toppings were included too! Boyfriend opted for the bacon cheeseburger which came with a second patty, I was jealous! My cheeseburger and garlic butter fries were seriously yummy! For me it beats Bunsen!
What can I say about this place?? Such a good burger. The garlic fries are literally out of this world. Great value; great food. Will always go back!
Wow burger definitely lived up to all the hype that I had heard! The burger was amazing and all the topping are free which is a bonus! I also got the garlic fries and they were delicious. The setting is really cool for a laid back lunch and all the food is reasonably priced! As good as the burger was I think Bunsen is better! I will definitely be back though!
This place puts a lot of other burger eateries in Dublin to shame. I went for the cheeseburger with grilled onions and mushrooms with be sauce. Each customer can build their own burger with choices of toppings. So simple yet so tasty and a very reasonable price, it will be hard not to eat here at least once a week.
It was beautiful!
The burger is very tasty, reminded me the best burger I've ever eaten in my life, made in Brazil. The topping choices surprised me.
The staff working there was very nice and recommended me the fries with garlic and it was a great choice!
I'm very pleased and plan to return there soon.
Checked this place out tonight after hearing great things... We weren't disappointed.
Really fun, American style decor & presentation. Love that the toppings are free of charge & great to see an establishment utilising their space in s clever way.
Great, laid back vibe as well. The staff were really friendly, the food was high quality & delicious and the pricing was amazing.... €20 & some change for 'fancy chips', burger & fries! Brilliant.
This is a great new burger bar right on the quays. Set up in what used to be, and still is, the smoking area for the Workman's bar and nightclub, Wowburger really gives the likes of Bunsen a run for their money for best burger in town. With free toppings and amazing garlic butter fries, the food on offer here is fantastic. It's the perfect place to go for that 'dirty' hangover foodcure!
In went to Wow Burger the day In and Out was in town but the queue was far too long! Wow burger was a great replacement and would diffently return! Extremely tasty!
I was very exciting about trying wowburger and my expectations were met!! I had the double cheese burger and fries which was delicious. Just the right amount of meat. I loved how you can choose as many toppings as you like. There's nothing worse than having to pay an extra 50c or more for a few mushrooms or onions etc! Definitely will be returning. And to all the other burger restaurants in Dublin... You better watch out cause this burger definitely had me "wow'd"
Wowburger, have a really delicius hamburgers , with many differents topings, the flavor is amazing, incredible ,!!the only problem for me is always it is very full , and you habe to eat standing!! In this way is not enjoy very well...
I am so glad I found wow burger! I love everything about this place, the burger was amazing and the garlic butter fries were fantastic also. The great thing about wow burger is that all the toppings are free and the selection of toppings were great aswell. This is definitely a new favourite burger joint of mine.
The name says it all... Wow. My favourite place to go for a dirty burger, great venue too! I usually go for the cheeseburger & garlic butter fries (omgggg 😍). I love that the toppings and sauces are free, & the prices are ridiculously cheap for the awesome quality you get! (One thing I will say though, please heat the bun up!!! )
So finally decided to try out this place for myself after all the hype i heard. Decided to get the Wow Bacon cheese burger (hold the cheese) and some fries. Possibly one of the best burgers I have ever tasted. 2 beef patties, fresh salad and perfectly cooked onion and mushrooms. Fries were tasty. Definitely recommend.
Like many others we didn't get into the queue for the In N Out pop up in Temple Bar quick enough, so we went over to Wowburger to try it for the first time. I suspect that a lot of others were in the same boat as us!
Wowburger, absolutely delicious. It's up there with the best burgers in Dublin and actually really reminded me of In N Out burger. I ordered a cheese burger (with wow sauce, grilled onion, pickle, lettuce, and tomato; free toppings is such a good idea) and fries. We had a bit of a wait, but that's totally forgivable considering the circumstances.
My only regret is not ordering the garlic butter fries, which I noticed that everyone else was ordering. I'll get them next time because I will definitely be back.
I was in Temple Bar around lunch time today and as Bunsen was heaving I decided to try out Wowburger after hearing everyone go on about it and it was empty! Hidden germ much? I hadn't been into the Workman's since Wowburger was put in so I was interested to see how the smoking area would look with it in it.
The Workman's smoking area gives the place a really cool vibe, that and the grunge music playing. Burgers, beer and rock music I was in my element.
Anyway! The burger. Unreal. Simply unreal. They give any and all toppings free with your burger and, naturally, I choose them all with my bacon cheeseburger. The only downside to the burger was the amount of onion on it. I know I choose onion but they give a SERIOUS slice of raw white onion. I had to take it out after about 3 bites, it was ruining the taste of the burger. A part from that, perfect!
Love this place my new favourite burger bar! I got the bacon cheeseburger with garlic butter fries. I wasn't hungry enough to try the actual wow burger size but found the small incredibly filling.
I love how you can add in your own toppings for no extra cost. The menu is more than affordable and I will definitely be back again.
Only problem is lack of chairs!
The host of comparisons to Bunsen made me pay Wowburger a visit to see for myself. While they're both burger joints I don't see them as being designed to offer the same experience: one is the slick minimalist gourmet burger the other is the pop-up greasy treat with a dash of hipster thrown in. And I love both!
Garlic butter fries are two thumbs up, and I'd need a couple more for the burger itself!
Fast service on a wed. Simple menu.
I love the venue itself and the packaging.
Flashy covers aside- chili fries are to die for- maybe a little heavy on the mayo.
Cheeseburger was well balanced and exactly as I would want it. Beef patties aren't too heavy on the meat. Overall a decent burger.
Right, first things first; I had built this burger up to a level in my head that would be considered worshiping a false god. I had heard so many great things about it and couldn't wait to try it, so you would imagine that I would have done my homework a bit better. I went on a Thursday night not knowing how busy it would be. 40 minutes waiting for a burger and chips was hard. I also panic ordered and forgot to get more toppings. All of that aside, it was AMAZING. Well worth the wait. The Wow sauce was gorgeous and the bun rocked my world. The chips. Holy mother of god. Mediocre oven chips will never ever be good enough for me again. I had the garlic butter chips and they were the nicest chips I've ever had! All in all, Bunsen and Wowburger are by far the best burgers in Dublin. See you soon Wowburger 👋🏼
So I had my first wow burger tonight and it didn't dissapoint. We got a bit unlucky with the timing as a massive private party had just come in ahead of us but it was worth the wait. Cool atmosphere and super friendly staff. I got the mini burger (dont be fooled. this is a regular sized single patty burger) and a regular chips. Topping were lettuce, tomato, pickles and ketchup. Price came to 7.90. My friend got the cheese burger with wow sauce and the garlic butter fries. Tasted 1 and they were unreal. Great experience. Will become a regular haunt.
Such a nice and reasonably priced burger!!! Very similar to Bunsen even the menu layout as their isn't a lot to choose from but everything is DELICIOUS! I got a double bacon cheese burger an chilli fries and they were amazing! It's right in the middle of the workmans smoking area, which means you can even have a drink with your food! Definitely worth the visit!
Living in Dublin I am spoilt for burger joints and Wowburger is another great addition. I didn't think Bunsen could be rivalled but I was wrong! The menu is small but has all the necessities. I also love that it has taken a risk by not having sweet potato fries but other equally tasty options like chilli fries and garlic butter fries.... Which are glorious! The burger is a great size, bursting with flavour and all the toppings are free so at €5.95 you really can't go wrong. To top it all off Wowburger is situated in a beer garden so Drink options are endless. Thumbs up from me!
Wow indeed!!
I must say this is one of the best burgers I have had in Dublin. The burger itself is very similar to Bunsen however what gives this place the edge is the FREE toppings you can put on your burger along with the garlic butter fries which provide a perfect companion to the burger!
The special Wow Burger sauce is nice and tangy and works very well with the burger. As Wow Burger is situated in the back of the Workmans club you also have access to a full bar and what better way to wash down the burger than with an ice cold beer!!
Wowburger, a hidden gem in Dublin City. The sign was smushed between the walls of the Workmans and the Bison Bar. After a few moments spent trying to find the entrance (through the Bison and up the stairs) we were found ourselves in an ultra hip looking burger joint. The open air feel (thanks to the lack of a roof) and the full bar make Wowburger a spot that I'll be hitting up again, real quick!
I had the bacon cheeseburger with jalapeños, grilled onions, topped with wowburger sauce! The burger was as good, if not better than Bunsen! Wish it had been a bit pinker, but it was still totally delicious!
Wow.....Wowburger!
I've heard so much about this joint in the last few weeks and it did not disappoint! I went for the bacon cheeseburger with grilled onions, mushrooms, lettuce, tomato and Wowburger sauce...of which I devoured in seconds!
Best burger in Dublin, hands down!
If you've been a regular reader of my blog for any period of time, you should know by now that I like a good burger. If you're a new reader to my blog, let's get the awkward introductions over, and let me tell you one interesting fact about myself. I like burgers. . I especially like American style or dirty-style burgers. For me, this means burgers with soft, thin, juicy patties, fluffy buns (I'm flexible on bun style, as long as they're not overly crusty), lots of melty cheese, probably crisp bacon and then other optional stuff. I dislike thick, dry, mealy burgers, or hockey-puck burgers, as I like to call them.
Best burger I've had in Dublin in a LONG time. Try the garlic butter fries - they are insanely good! So reasonable too, €18 for two people including two soft drinks. I'll be back!
Definite contender for best Burger in Dublin! Seriously juicy burger topped with a beauty brioche bun. I went for the Bacon Cheeseburger, if I was going again I'd leave it at the Cheeseburger, the bacon didn't add anything. On the side I went for Garlic Fries & a Chocolate Milkshake. The Garlic Fries weren't for me , but the thick Milkshake was top of the pops!
First of all we sat in bobo's, then realised it was a severely overpriced chipper that sold pints so we left to go to Eddie Rockets cause we could get a meal there for the same price as the price of one of the burgers in bobo's. We got to Eddie rockets and wanted to sit outside so I remembered seeing an article in joe.ie the day before about a burger bar opening in workmans smoking area. I know what you're thinking, workmans during the day? As if I'm not there enough at night. Well anyways we went in and found a seat (the same seat we'd sit at at 4 o'clock in the morning smoking each other's fags and wondering if there's a rave on tonight) the smoking area in workmans seems 10 times smaller when you're not after just knocking back two bottles of wine in the house and about 12 zaconey and cokes since arriving into workmans in the past 10 minutes. But how and ever back to wowburger, I ordered a bacon cheeseburger topped with jalapeños, shrooms and hot sauce. Hold. Me. Back. BIG FAT JUICY BURGER with just the right amount of hotness on top, joined by garlic fries and a delectable vanilla milkshake, washed down by 5ish zaconeys and cokes and then it turned into one of those workmans nights... The tannoy on which they announce your order number would remind you of sitting in a bingo hall albeit with zaconeys and cokes on the side.
Lovely to experience workmans smoke room as a cute dining space rather than a sweaty hole where you enter one end with a drink and leave the other with half a pint in your glass, half a pint down your front and fag burns in your trousers. Me Simey and Sorka had cheese burgers, garlic butter fries and vanillla milkshakes. All so good_ the burger was super - very moist. A word we decided is gross is most context but perfect to describe the wow burger. You could drink a litre of those milkshakes too. Great place for creeping on mysterious looking hipster guys also :3
Tried this place today, as we were in town looking for somewhere to eat and a friend had heard that it had just opened. Once again found myself in Workmans (can't keep away from the place), and let me tell you, it felt like a new place, that's what a little bit of paint and some sunshine do to a place :D burgers were good value, really big and moist, exactly what I like in a burger. The vanilla milkshake was to die for, I seriously considered getting a second one. Plus the garlic chips were delish. Overall very impressed with the place, plus the lads and I stayed on for a few Zaconey and cokes so fun times :)
Move over Bunsen, Wowburger just rocked up and plucked the crown right off your mincey head. I popped in for a dirty lunch yesterday and Wowburger delivered (please start actually delivering). They've nailed the American style In-n-Out/Five Guys style high end fast food concept, offering a simple menu of burgers with customisable toppings and a few sides. The burgers are mammoth, messy goodness and the fries are cooked perfectly. This is the hangover killer you need.
The location is a bit weird, being situated in the smoking area of the Workmans Club (howya flashbacks?) but they manage to make it work and would be whopper on a hot Summer's day for burgers and pints.
Well done Wowburger, you've lived up to your name.
As soon as I read about Wowburger I knew I had to try it out. The new pop-up burger hatch is located in the smoking area of the Workman's club and serves burgers, cheeseburgers, or bacon and cheeseburgers, with the option of adding as many toppings from their list as you like included in the price.
I ordered the bacon and cheese with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and some 'wowburger' sauce, with a portion of garlic butter fries on the side. After a very short wait my number was called... I dove straight into the chips and was met with hand-cut crispy, garlicy, buttery goodness. They tasted exactly what you would expect/hope 'garlic butter fries' would taste! The chips themselves were spot-on and the garlic butter just took them to the next level.
Moving on to the main event, from the first bite to the last, the burger was pure deliciousness. The sweet brioche bun housed two thin, perfectly cooked patties of meat with molten American cheese oozing out from between them, all topped off with really fresh veg and perfectly crisped bacon.
This is fast food at its best. Simple, good quality food served in a relaxed environment. I was absolutely delighted with my meal, and I'll definitely be back for more. Hopefully Wowburger will become a permanent fixture, but in the meantime I highly recommend getting in for a feed before it's gone.
