A very pleasant and sophisticated evening was had here last night.

Courtesy of a thetaste voucher, ourselves and friends dined very finely in lush surroundings with some decent music indeed.

We kicked off with cocktails - the gin based cucumber one tasted like holidays which was a nice contrast to that bloody rain. The old fashioneds also hit the mark

Starters included chicken liver parfait, shrimp cocktail and the best beetroot and goats cheese salad I ever had. So delicately presented and tasting.

Main events were of a surf n turf variety. The steaks were cooked well and tasted divine, while the sea bream was plentiful in its portion size. Some of the accompanying were a bit dodge - sharp, bitter chicory and some very bitter grapefruit segments.regardless, all plates were cleared.

To wrap it up, Himself unsurprisingly went for the rhubarb crumble which was gorgeous and leaned more heavily on the rhubarb than crumble which is a win in my eyes. Meanwhile the rest of us properly indulged with the chocolate and peanut butter tart. Wow. So so so indulgent - the most intense snickers bar I have ever had.

The supper club piano kicked off before dessert which was good timing. Rather than be loud and distracting, the musical duo played all the tunes at the perfect pitch.

Definitely one for a special occasion

I visted here on a Sunday expecting to see a Sunday lunch menu including roasts with all the trimmings but was disappointed to see the menu available is the same menu used all week. I ordered the chicken pate with bramble apple jelly with toasted brioche which was a large portion and delicious. My friend order shrimp cocktail with melba toast, it was ok a lot of lettuce and nothing enough shrimps. For my main course I had the boned chicken half with herb butter and a light jus served with home fries, It was good and chicken was succulent. I had toffee and apple crumble with banana ice cream, I could not taste toffee in the crumble, My friend had chocolate brownie with icecream which was a bit dry. We ordered coffees but by the time the desserts arrived we had coffee finished. It's is a very nice restaurant to sit in with beautiful paintings on the walls and Staff are very friendly and chatty. This is where the TV programme the restaurant is filmed. I would return again but not in a hurry.

Went here on New Years Eve for dinner and couldn't recommend this place any higher. Great live music. The fillet steak was one of the best i've ever had.

I had a fantastic New Year's Eve in Marco Pierre in Donnybrook. They had a jazz themed evening for €60 that included a 4 course meal, glass of prosecco and a live jazz band. We booked about two weeks in advance and it was well worth the wait. 

We had a set menu with nice options and I had the crab to start, it was a lovely sized portion and it tasted so fresh. For the main course I had the steak and it was cooked perfectly, to finish I had the eton mess with tea and washed it all down with a bottle of Spanish house white wine. 

The service was fantastic, the staff were all so friendly and enjoying the great atmosphere of the evening. At midnight they filled the restaurant with balloons and everyone had a great evening. 

I would highly recommend attending any of their future events such as the Friday Night Supper Club as the food and setting in fantastic. They have a large heated outdoor seating area and a big bar area.

There is nothing worse than when you have perfect food which is ruined by the service of the staff. I've been here a few times, the steaks are just perfection. However my sister who doesn't eat steak got the hake which she thought was very oily and had no flavour!!
The sides and sauces that come with the steaks are such complements, I found my whole meal very enjoyable. However staff weren't very attentive at all, this was unusual because service here has been great at other times. It wasn't a case that it was too busy and they were understaffed.
The restaurant is gorgeous though, it's very spacious and there was a great atmosphere. Will definitely be returning regardless of the service just because the food is that good!!

Yesterday evening, I celebrated my brother’s birthday with my Bro & Dad at Marco Pierre White Courtyard Bar & Grill in Donnybrook. I had won a prize from The Taste to wine & dine at this restaurant and availed of it yesterday, which included a three-course À La Carte meal and choice bottle of wine. The restaurant menus give such a variety of food, especially between the À La Carte and Early Bird menus. Myself and my Dad ordered from the À La Carte, whereas my brother ordered from the Early Bird and I chose the rosé wine for the table. The food was extremely delicious, I absolutely adored my starter; it was light, plentiful but still not too filling. My main course was big, so big that I ate my burger avec knife & fork and shared some with my brother. The frites were perfectly seasoned and the cold pickled cucumbers were delightful. Our desserts were quite the sight, they looked too delicious to eat – but of course we devoured & shared them! I had quietly asked for a something special for my brother’s dessert, and the waiter did not disappoint lighting a candle in my brother’s Lemon Posset before the staff all wished him a happy birthday! Both my Dad and Bro were very happy with their meals. Brilliant service and extremely attentive staff, delicious food, highly recommend it!

Main Course – Finest Quality Irish Beef Burger (served with grilled bacon, farmhouse cheddar, tomato relish, pickles & frites); Finest Quality Irish Beef, Fillet Steak with Café de Paris Butter (served with handcut chips, grilled tomato, salad & side of onion rings); Fillet of Seatrout (served atop potato Ratatouille, pesto & hollandaise sauces, side salad & salt crystals; Early Bird)

Dessert – Valrhona Chocolate & Peanut Butter Tart (served with raspberry sorbet); Sticky Toffee Pudding (served with clotted cream and caramel sauce); Lemon Posset (served with crumbled biscuits & homemade wafer thin biscuits)

Summer is upon us at the moment and no better place to enjoy it in Marco Pierre White's courtyard, it is an amazing setting to enjoy a cocktail and dinner. I had the scallops and my colleague had the caprese salad to start followed by the steak. We had a bottle of recommended wine which was perfect. I had a gin and tonic which came in a fish bowl glass, total and utter heaven, I'll back very soon to sit in that courtyard.. Definitely a great edition to Donnybrook..

I have been here three times for Sunday lunch, they do a great value menu and the service is always good. It is advisable to pre book on a Sunday but if you walk in they will give you either a seat outside or at the bar until a table becomes available. The prawn cocktail to start is great and nicely presented, the burger is also delicious and plentiful. Recommend for Sunday lunch at great value.

This is a fantastic restaurant all round. The venue is stylish and modern, yet homely and comfortable. It is always busy (at least whenever I have been there) yet you are not cramped and it doesn't feel overcrowded. And on top of that, the food is absolutely delicious and you get very decent portions. I would highly recommend MPW especially if you are a steak lover!
