After scouring the web for Korean restaurants in Dublin, we settled on the HaiLan restaurant and it sure didn't disappoint! It was my first time tasting proper Korean food and I can honestly say it was delicious. A group of 5 of us settled down to eat around 6pm and were happily greeted and attended to within minutes. We ordered a variety of food including bibimbap, kimchi and pork, chicken and rice, kimchi pancake and tofu steak and all was deliciously cooked and with little to no waiting time, what more could you want!
The prices were also very reasonable for the amount of food we were served. All in all, it came to €55.50 and I would happily pay to eat here again as the food was so tasty, the staff were lovely and friendly (even listening to me try say something in Korean) and it was also very clean and pleasing!
Great food, good value, try the Tatsuta Chicken made of chicken breast fried with egg in Teriyaki sauce, stir vegetables, and steamed rice. however there is a variety of Korean, Japanese, and Chinese food.
Closely follows Arisu as the best Korean in Dublin. The restaurent is canteen style in the back of a supermarket and you can see the chefs cooking up a storm from your seat. There's self service hot miso soup which is lovely while you wait. The pork and kimchi stew is my fav - really rich and warming on a cold night. They don't take card in the restaurant so best come with cash. They do take away as well which is great if you're out in town and want something nice. It's great value at about €10 per dish - and everything is really filling and rich.
I was very surprise to find an excellent Korean restaurant which is one of the top 3 in town. I recommend all the menu as it's just devine...and also as you can expect very good value. This is the perfect spot in city center to get a break. Just enjoy
In keeping with our rekindled love for Capel street's cheap no-fuss eats, we headed back down to check out another of what the area has to offer. Hi lan has a huge variety of Chinese & Korean menu option served in a laid back atmosphere. The dishes were full of authentic flavour served in traditional ways with most tables ordering several dishes to share. I love this way of dining out, it creates a more fun experience & creates intimacy with those you're with. Also, it helps you avoid food envy by making it socially acceptable to eat half of your company's food!
This is the perfect spot if you're in town & want to get a last minute bite to eat with a friend but you're feeling anything but flush; Order yourself a main and a beer, get enveloped in an authentic Asian style dining experience and, have enough change out of your last 20 EUR to catch the bus home. Perfect.
I love this restaurant!!!!! My favorite korean restaurant.
The location is really central. The attention is really good too, attended by korean people but the most important thing is his food, the quality and the flavour.
The prices are very cheap.
I recommend it!!
I wouldn't be choosing to go here for the Japanese part of the menu but the Korean part is amazing, cooked beautifully with fantastic flavours. And the price is right. 3 mains 3 beers under 50. Do yourself a flavor
I stumbled upon this nice, little place by coincidence last night. Two friends of mine and I were trying to get a table in several restaurants, but no luck anywhere. So we found Hailan. While it didn't look too appealing from the outside, it was nice and friendly inside, with a good atmosphere. The staff was very friendly and the food was pretty good! I especially liked the fried dumplings, lovely! The sushi wasn't the best I ever had, but it was all right. The main courses were very tasty and the portions were huge. Definitely great value for money.
