I think the food here is great. I have eaten here a few times and have sat out on the terrace upstairs on a sunny day( nearly too hot for me with my pale Irish skin). It's great for people spotting. But the food of course. I think the food is perfect pub grub very tasty and filling but a bit of a twist on just burgers and chips. I had the lamb burger and chips. The bun to burger ratio was a bit off as the bun was too big or burger too small. It was very tasty and succulent and the cops were skinny and crispy. Yum! Everybody in the large group was happy and the staff were friendly and helpful. Only complaint was the food took quite a while to arrive. We were all very hungry.
A nice pub/restaurant were you can eat or just have a drink with your friends.
I tried the fish and chips, and I liked, but it was the first time that I eat this meal, so I can't compare and say if it's good or not.

I love this cosy bar for a few casual drinks. The decor is gorgeous - very warm, grand living room feeling with a dark, romantic twist! The cocktails are really nice also, with a decent variety to choose from. I haven't tried the food here but I can imagine the nibbles being really tasty.
Great selection of beers and even better wine selection, where almost all the wines can be serve by the glass, the carafe or the bottle.
The food menu is uncomplicated, with loads of classics with a nice twist and great value.

Great alternative to heading into city centre for a few drinks. The sliders and pizzas are tasty but possibly a bit over-priced for the portions. The sweet potato fries are a must!
As a pub it has a solid drinks menu with their own cocktail concoctions. For the more traditional drinker : The Guinness and Irish whiskey selection are both decent!
I was here on a Thursday night for some drinks and a few bites to eat. The staff were really friendly and attentive and the service was very efficient. They have a tapas style menu so there are a good few options to choose from. I tried the sliders which were amazing. Decent value at 3 for €10 and there are a few varieties to chose from. I also tried some of the jalapeno hummus with flat bread. I am not usually a big fan of hummus but this was really nice and had a bit of a spicy kick to it.
On a Thursday there is a singer playing music for the night. He is really good and it lends to a really nice atmosphere in the venue. I will definitely be back and would recommend it for a drink if in the area.
Taphouse is hit and miss! The food is good but they are often out of stock, often I have been here and they don't have half the thing on the menu! Sliders are good, great stock of beers! Bar staff can sometimes be rude!
A very stylish pub in heart of Ranelagh. The 3 mini burger plate is a great choice with sweet potato sides and goes well with their wide selection of craft beers or ciders. Another great thing is the fact that you can get a half pint to try any beer or cider for half price not more. Really good atmosphere and friendly staff.
Truly love this place!! Really alternative and chic tapas including unusual slider burgers to aromatic duck pancakes. They also do amazing sweet potato fries. Everything is sooooo good. They do a wide range of craft beers to which my husband really enjoyed. Maybe need an extra waiter though.
What a great place to meet friends, I came here and we sat outside. The outdoor seating area is fantastic and the bar staff are all so friendly. We got a few nibbles, sliders that were yum definitely recommend the food!
I had dinner here last night with friends. The food is really good. I had the sliders which are 3 for €10. The crab tostadas also looked good. Nice relaxing atmosphere. Would definitely come here again.
On a sunny evening last week we went to Tap house for a drink before dinner across the road in Dillinger’s. Unfortunately we were too late to grab a table on the terrace which looked idyllic on a sunny evening. We still got a nice spot upstairs which was so cosy could have stayed there the whole night. The bar staff were so attentive asking for drink orders and food which this time I had to decline even though the fish tacos looked dam good.
Great spot for a drink anyway with lots of Irish beers on tap.
Great selection of craft beers and some delicious cocktails. Very friendly bar and wait staff. Food is tasty- I've had the slider burgers and a vegetarian platter- both were well-prepared and used some unusual ingredients.
Great local spot for a few casual drinks. I've never eaten here but I have always been tempted the smells are fab. We have been quite a few times midweek and the place is always buzzing. Love the atmosphere - Thursday nights especially they have a live band playing.Their standard house white is nice and always comes lovely and chilled. There is a wide range of craft beers which go down a treat with himself.

The Tap House is one of my regular spots at this stage and I finally decided to try a meal there last night. It's in a really great location and always seems to have a buzz about it. The layout is a bit unusual in the sense that people dining aren't really separated from the drinkers but this just adds to the atmosphere in my opinion!
They have a really good variety of beers & ciders with a few craft options & the food menu is small but everything on it sounds delicious. The slider burgers were recommended so I opted for these with sweet potato fries & Cajun sauce. They tasted really great, looked small but were surprisingly filling. The whole meal was really tasty, I can't wait to try some other dishes off the menu. However on a side note I have to agree with another review that although the service is good we felt a little rushed as the waiter kept checking if we wanted drinks when we were only half way through our pints!! Other than that, fabulous food, great drink, outdoor seating and live music on Thursday evening.... Ticks all the boxes!
Tap house is a really nice pub with a great selection of craft beers, the food is also good here and I would definitely recommend the combo of three sliders. The interior is really nice, and the pub is always lively. Good spot to go for a bite to eat and a few drinks, or to watch any of the matches. There is a heated balcony for smokers upstairs which is also good.
never fails to disappoint! It was the second time over been here over the past couple of weeks. The staff are all very friendly and the food is delicious, especially the wings! It's not very expensive at all. I would eat here every night if I could. One of my favourite places in dublin. Will return very soon Conor Mc Eniff
Really nice gastro pub with large screens for people who like to watch whatever big game is on at the time, had the slider burgers which were tasty and generally a good atmosphere in the bar! It's a huge bar with an upstairs and a smoking balcony!
The newly refurbished Russell's (now the Tap House) on the main strip in Ranelagh is a great addition to the village. The place looks much the same as before inside, with the addition of some new craft beers and a much improved food offering. As before, the place is heaving on weekends, with a great buzz about the place. They've taken the usual pub-grub options, and modernised them. With tapas-style delivery, from small plates to sharing platters. Their sliders are lovely (€4 each or 3 for €10) and they've got a good selection of other dishes from ribs to meatballs, it's not the place to bring your vegetarian friends. Good atmosphere and great food make this an ideal spot to go for some drinks with a nice bite to eat.
