Long overdue review! We had a family meal here ( 8 adults and 1 baby) back in Feb and we were all blown away by the level of service and kindness shown by all the staff, from the moment we arrived in the door- greeting, seating, food & drink service and management care and attention. The baby was treated like a little king in his high chair and was even served specially made veg purée and a fresh fruit dessert, without us even ordering. The food was perfection for all, but the added care, attention and kindness was truly special and made our evening incredibly enjoyable. To all the staff and team and team at Roly’s...You are doing a wonderful job. Thank You so much.
Just at rolys for my dad's birthday, absolutely gorgeous, the staff were extremely attentive and kind, the food was melt in your mouth, I would highly recommend a visit 😊
Had Sunday lunch in rolys yesterday and I have to say we had the most amazing experience. We drove from Laois with our two young children, picked my mother (70) up, and drove to ballsbridge where there was no parking due to a match. Arrived at rolys to be treated with the warmest of welcomes, and ushered to our table by a lovely young man. The waiter had no problem at all with us delaying our order as my husband took 25 minutes to find a parking space and join us, instead we were greeted with chatter, beautiful warm breads, wine menu, and total reassurance that we could take our time. Our food was delicious, but what really made us feel so valued was the restaurant manager Khan dropping by to introduce himself, he was so warm and made a point of chatting to our children like they were treasured guests. He invited them to the kitchen to help make their own dessert, which to my children, made their day, they were so thrilled and excited. The restaurant was booked out, but we were made to feel like we were the only customers there. Beautifully groomed staff, smiles every time you made eye contact, my mothers birthday made so memorable, and led by the wonderful, professional Khan. I cannot recommend rolys highly enough. Thank you so much for making my mother (Elsie) 70th birthday lunch so special, and for giving us such a special memorable afternoon, Val x
Just finished a beautiful 3 course meal with my wife here. The food was very tasty and service was quick . The portion sizes where spot on. We will be back.

Absolutely excellent, from staff to food and interior, we had a wonderful time. Very reasonable and friendly, romantic but chic, couldn't recommend enough, biggest compliments to the Chefs and all the staff, see u soon! 😊
It's USP, it's up by 7:30 am, so the early morning office guys can drop by for a coffee take away. It's up earlier than most of the cafes in ballsbridge, so it's kind of a saviour. The full Irish breakfast is just amazing. The menu is limited and healthy. Go the scrambled eggs or the porridge. All takeaway
Coffees are priced at 2 € wow 😍. Club your coffee with a donut or a croissant and it's just perfect. It's located just near the Herbert park hotel. A very nice way to start your day with rolys.
Great for a quick lunch or relaxed dinner. It has a variety of sandwiches and platters. My favorites are the carrot soup, the salmon with noodles, the poached salmon sandwich and the cajun chicken wrap. It has friendly staff and a fast service and the prices are very convenient. I recommend it if you are around Ballsbridge
You can never go wrong with a Roly's breakfast and hot chocolate!
They use good quality ingredients and you can really taste it it's worth the trek into Ballsbridge and every penny spent and even at that it's not too bad on the wallet! I would definitely recommend popping in here for breakfast if you're around the area!
I've only ever come to this place for coffee and cake or a cookie but I would love to come here for an evening meal as the place is always buzzing and the food looks great. The coffee here is very good and it is really cheap too! A huge cup for only €2. They also have the most delicious cheesecakes and huge cookies that are perfect for dunking in to that delicious big cup of coffee.
Have had Rolys a few different times now. Their large cheesecakes and biscuit cakes are some of the best I've ever tasted (they'd want to be for 14€). There's a chocolate brownie cheesecake which is heaven. Have also visited for lunch - the tandoori chicken sandwich is lovely but would advise to get it toasted! Very busy at lunchtimes but always able to get a table everytime I've gone!
Rolys is an institution around Dublin and we have a couple of their cookbooks at home! I recently moved to the area and have started popping in for takeaway coffees as they are seriously good value, 2 euro for any takeaway coffee which is a decent cup! They're famous scones are massive and definitely fit to share at only 1.65 per scone! You can also collect loyalty stamps with the 10th coffee free- I love being rewarded for custom, it's become the handiest spot for a local coffee on route to Herbert park! Kelly McCarthy
This is a lovely cafe, truly loved by all my coworkers. Everybody raves about it. I love walking by their window everyday - the fresh aroma of ground coffee and beautiful desserts are always proudly on display. Their sandwiches are fresh and I've heard their soups are equally yummy. I love that you can choose the kind of bread for your sandwich- they have 6 different varieties! As I am a bread lover/enthusiast, I am on a mission to try them all. Today I had the egg salad on a baguette- and yes, it was divine. I've also tried their roast chicken sandwich, which was equally delish. Two down, four more to go!
I was here on Friday 6th February and I had the most wonderful 3 course meal. Everything was to perfection from the greeting when we came in to the tasty food that was served and I even got my desert with a candle in it and got happy birthday sung to me by the staff !! Delicious food and will definitely be back.
Eaten at the cafe a number of times, they also have a good section to take out as well. Overall the food has been good and the early bird menu is decent value. Have to recommend the white chocolate and brownie cheesecake if you feel like something sweet.
I ate here once with a friend on a Wednesday evening. The location is great for people who are attending the RDS.
The service is excellent and the restaurant was busy for a Wednesday. The duck spring rolls to start are very good and I had the fish pie as a main. I enjoyed it but it was a bit heavy - I probably wouldn't order it again. The mini desserts are delicious. The set menu is great value and I would definitely go here again.
