Wonderful and affordable place. The decor so on point, the food hmmm, yummmy. The music is just perfect, to loud n rough, but smooth n relaxing

Lovely staff, lovely setting, great food & great value. Duck, calimari and the special chicken & chorizo paella were amazing!!
Love this place, love their Tapas, only complaint was last time we booked we were not made aware until we got there that we would have to vacate the table after an hour and a half.. I understand it was near Christmas but we felt we were being rushed as the couple waiting on our table arrived and were sitting at the bar..As luck would have it , it was my cousin waiting so wasn't so bad.:-). Would appreciate tho if I was told on booking in future if there was a time slot.
Fab food fab atmosphere..lovely staff and and great value ..
Really enjoyed our night. Nice and cosy atmosphere with great bachata music. Food was fab. Service brilliant. Made my birthday night special for me. Definitely will be coming back again.
Superb Tapas on offer, easily on a par with anything you will find in Madrid or Barcelona. Food quality of a high standard and made with fresh produce, staff on the ball, will be back.
Food is amazing lovely place very friendly staff good choice and well priced
Lovely food and nice staff... I will definitely go back again....Thanks!
Our first time to visit Casa del Toro and won't be our last, food was amazing and the staff were so attentive but not intrusive. A big shout out to Valaria (spelling may be wrong ) A hostess who will not be forgotten Un millìon de Gracias
Wonderful spot with excellent service and delicious food. I recommend booking in advance as it's a popular spot and tables fill up fast!
Good Spanish restaurant with a tipical decor in Dumcondra. Delicious seafood paella 🥘 and a yummy homemade crunchie and flake cheesecake. Good service and good space with a outside lounge for the sunny days. Just the drinks, as usual in Dublin ,are overpriced and the dose of patatas bravas could be more generous. To comeback shortly . Good experience.
Nice tapas in Drumcondra.
I have visited this place for numerous times. It has a nice atmosphere and great out door sitting for sunny days. The staff are also very friendly. In the photo attached I ordered Tapa de Chorizo, Mini Pig Burger and special dish of day, deep fried prawns. The spicy Chorizos are my favourites and they are really tasty. Other recommended dishes are Calamares fritos and Brocheta de Cordero. The portions are good size for tapas and 3 would be enough per person.

A classic tapas bar in the heart of Drumcondra.
The outside and interior alone set a wonderful tone for you're Spanish inspired evening in Casa Del Toro. The place is furnished and decorated suitably and will make you feel like you're stopping off for some food on a holiday in Spain. The ambience in the place is gorgeous. It's quite a small restaurant yet well spaced out and there's plenty of room in the booths for groups of up to six. I'd recommend booking a booth for a nice intimate evening.
I dined here with a friend and we both opted for the early bird platter (pictured). It is available from 3-7pm. This featured a selection of six different tapas. It cost €19.95 each. When the first one came out I thought that was the entire amount of food for us both. Definitely no complaints over the amount of food you receive. It was excellent value in comparison to the main menu, which did seem quite pricey especially for the size of the portions. The food was extremely tasty, well cooked and presented. It was bordering on slightly too rich but at the same time was delicious. We just both felt extremely full after it.
The wine was delicious and there was a vast drinks menu available. It was priced at around €6 per glass which is average for Dublin.
The service was efficient and attentive. I felt the staff could have been a bit more friendly, but in saying that I'm nit picking.
It was a lovely tapas experience and I will most definitely be returning.
Casa del toro a place that interested me as soon as it opened. I decided to visit with my friend Eimear Forde the moment i walked in I was captivated ,from the flowing Spanish music coming from the guy in the corner to the camaraderie from the waiter. We were sitting no longer than five minutes when our food arrived at the table. An array of food covered the table ,from succulent meatballs to the deliciously cooked fish and the mixed salad to name a few of the dishes, which were all accompanied with tasty dips. After devouring the main courses we then were jokingly told to leave space for the best part ..the desert! I ordered the strawberry cheesecake and I have to admit it was one of the best maybe the best strawberry cheesecake I have tasted!!
I would definitely recommend paying a visit to this delightful tapas bar in the heart of Drumcondra ,you will not be disappointed!!
AY DIOS MIO!
With the assistance of my loyal friend Zomato my housemate and new Zomatoer Johnny Galligan visited Casa del Toro less than an hour ago. Admittedly I'm an amateur so getting my voucher for a 'Tapas Bar' was like a letter in a foreign language for me. However, I got a great experience and education of the Spanish culture. We were greeted by a musician playing Spanish tunes at the door and immediately there was a salsa dance-off scene going off in conscience d'Eimear. The waiter treated us like royalty( suspicions that he thought we were professional food critics) . We lapped up the luxury with the many dishes from meatballs to mixed salad, to be followed by the delicious and nutritious (well the strawberries are nutritious) desserts. Thank you Zomato you've now also gained a new foodie! Next time I'll return for the Sangriiiiiiiiia.. MUCHO LOVEO.
I've eaten here twice and neither times left disappointed. the restaurant itself is lovely, service was great, really friendly and helpful. I'd recommend the calamari from the evening menu, and the early bird tapas selection was delicious....highly recommend the prawns, perfectly cooked. .will definitely be eating here again soon!
Went here on Monday. Was an absolutely lovely dining experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. So glad that a tapas place has opened in drumcondra. Went with 8 friends, we all ordered the early bird tapas. This consists of 7 different tapas each. They were all so delicious. Really nice mix of tapas. The prawns were amazing and it was probably the nicest paella I've had. Will definitely be going back and would definitely recommend it to others
Finally at long last I got to visit Casa Del Toro, which considering the close proximity to my front door and the fact that I love food so much, I should be ashamed it took so long. But it was worth the wait. From the minute we walked into the place I was impressed. The decor is absolutely beautiful, very authentic spanish, plenty of booths and tables and a bar at the back. The staff are very welcoming. We were a table of eight adults and a toddler who was attended to straight away. We were greeted with a complimentary glass of Sangria and some toast and tapenades and he with a story book. Everyone was happy. We all opted for the early bird which runs Sunday to Thursday and it is such great value. Being my first time there I thought it was a good selection of dishes to sample. It was served up on a ceramic platter of pork and beef meatballs with tomato sauce, paella, goats cheese and walnut filo pastry, tomato and olive salad, iberico ham with quince jelly on toast, patatas brava and prawn in chilli and garlic. All the dishes were fantastic, if I had to pick my favourite I think I'd go with the meatballs or the filo pastry. So many flavours, it was fabulous. If you're local to the area and haven't tried this place then you must. It's definitely worth a visit. Staff were very attentive all evening.
