I woke from the night before and craved the all allusive 'cure'. No better place in my opinion to go and confess your sins to the wonderful staff that served me the best pint of plain I've set my Elvis like lips on. As I couldn't restrain myself from drinking I was kindly escorted out the gaff at like 4pm as I like to refer to myself of something like a wild dog.
This pub knows its market and sticks to it. If you want a quiet pint (great Guinness) or a couple of drinks and a chat - this is the place. Good beer, good Whiskey collection, very clean, very comfortable, sound staff. However, if you are stag or hen party, on a pub crawl, dressed like a Christmas tree, looking for fancy cocktails or loud music - the bar staff will happily provide directions to a more suitable establishment.
Fabulous pub with fabulous staff and people. Christopher behind the bar was an absolute diamond giving us names of places to visit. The staff were friendly and very witty which always helps when dealing with a group of Welsh women
Absolutely brilliant atmoshphere, real good food, best pint of Guinness tasted in Dublin and the staff are amazing and friendly...
Without doubt, my favourite place for a pint in the city centre, friendly staff were excellent. Fantastic atmosphere in the pub, totally unpretentious. Can't wait for my next visit.
Great neighborhood pub. Stopped in for a quick pint and snack - service couldn't have been friendlier. We enjoyed conversing with a few locals. Great place to relax and chat.
Im 55 now and have been drinking in peters since i was 18
Nothing has changed except the new extension
The place is spotless
A lot of pride has kept this place a busy secret
The staff and customers are unique!! All in a good way!!!!
Peter is a bar owner who should be very proud!! And well cared for by Enda! Another fine gentleman!!!
My wife and I were at Peter's pub the other day after flying in from Cleveland Ohio. We loved it, and it's been our favorite pub in Ireland so far.
Also the bartender made fun of the Cleveland browns, which was awesome. The Factory of Sadness is legendary and pancultural
Is now, and always has been, the very best pub in Dublin!
Peter’s Pub was our first stop after the hotel in Dublin. Not for any reason other than it was the first pub we got to and I needed a pint of Guinness and one of Smithwicks. That said, we were thrilled it was our first Irish pub. Peter’s Pub is a warm, welcoming and delightful pub. My little family was welcomed and trilled with fare (cheese, soaps and sandwiches) and libations (beer, wine and Irish milk). As good as the food and drinks were, the service is even better. Our bar tendering was game for a little craic but also knew when to let us just enjoy the atmosphere. No doubt, on our next visit to this wonderful city, Peter’s Pub will be our first stop to wash away the jet lag and to start imbibing the Irish spirit.
Great, friendly pub with excellent service. O'Hara's stout is a revelation!
