My favourite restaurant in Dublin. We come here regularly and order the platter which is more than enough for two people - it's the perfect mix of meats and veg and comes with a generous helping of hummus and pitta bread. Very friendly service, very reasonably priced and excellent quality - also free corkage! 10/10
The food was really delicious. It felt like we were dining in another country, real authentic atmosphere. Everyone was so happy in the place because they were guzzling back their own wine and beer! free corkage and reasonably priced food, all in a great location!
If it's a kebab with a bit of class you're after, then this is the place for you. Nice little restaurant with a byob policy. Casual and relaxed and lovely Lebanese food. I had a grilled chicken sharwarma if my memory serves me right. Haven't been back since but definitely would if I was in the area.
I've both dined in here with a group and ordered a take away before also. Really great value as its BYO and the food is very cheap too. beautiful hummus and sheesh kebabs , quite healthy too as most of it is grilled . we got loads on the take away and we were so full . no complaints at all . they do the original sheesh pipes too in the restaurant which is a bit of a novelty and they have lots of flavours. little mini pastry deserts too which were a delight. thumbs up from us.
A nice, authentic Lebanese restaurant situated just off the canal in Portobello, Rotana Cafe is a great place for a quiet meal-for-two and a relaxed dinner with friends alike. The food is great, with everything you'd expect to find, from falafel and hommus, to kebabs, kaftas, and shawarmas. Their flavoured shishas are a popular after-dinner draw too. The decor in the restaurant is very inviting and there always seems to be a bit of a buzz about the place any time of day. A solid local favourite, Rotana cafe is definitely worth a visit.
