Best brunch i've had in a long time! The fry was incredible! Eggs Benedict cooked to perfection and beer selection was on point. Love the staff atmosphere and quality of the food
Omw stopped for brunch. It was to die for. Pancakes were amazing. You know your onto a winner when there's a queue waiting for it to open.
Had such a lovely Sunday morning birthday brunch in Dillinger’s. We were so looked after and the people are so friendly. We had a small baby of 2 months with us, she dropped her soother and one of the staff came straight over, scalded it, and gave it back. One way to know if it’s popular is seeing it booked out at 11.00 am on a Sunday morning. The food is amazing and I will definitely be back.
Lovely service.. food was lovely and the atmosphere was great with some great music playing in the background.. not to mention the cocktails.. they were spot on
Had brunch in Dillingers this morning and it was fantastic. The food was really tasty and good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpfull. Left very happy and planning my next trip
Highly recommend, great food, staff and drinks
Properly made margaritas (that are very much appreciated by koalas 😜) cosy environment, friendly staff!

Amazing, love the food and margaritas are the best ever...congratulations
Delightfully surrounding ,best ribeye iv hand in the longest time and perfect service .Great evening .
Consistently excellent food. Good atmosphere and great service. The aged beef burger is amazing.
So delicious absolutely recommend to everyone. Had the monk fish special!!!
First time there EXCELLENT SERVICE food AMAZING 👌👌👌👌👌
Best ribs and nachos in Dublin! Great cocktail menus too!
Fab brunch last Sunday after the French match. We were the 4 savages in the window that ordered 6 items!! Delish
I went there on Saturday, they served American breakfast on Saturday and Sunday only.
I had American pancakes with cripsy bacon and maple Syrup fresh berries and it cost me €11.
I loved crispy bacon with pancakes.
Their service was fast and the food was tasty.
Place was also nice.
Amazing tasting food and great service. Kind staff helped celebrate my friend's birthday. Nothing more to say other than make sure you put this place on your "to go" list.
Awesome place. Very American diner style. We had brunch there and we'll definitely go back for more. Chicken and waffles & pork carnitas for the win.
I love this place food is always satisfying and staff are really friendly. I love the menu and would go back anytime. The nachos must be up there with the best in Dublin.

What can I say about this place...just one word...KICKASS...one of the best burgers I have had and amazing nachos they serve....situated near Chelmsford road it was a little distance from where i stayed...but i a very relaxing time and time seemed like it did not want to move...such was the ambience at this place...a must visit place to enjoy drinks and food...
The best nachos around!!
I went there just to try one thing: the super nachos! I was not disappointed. These are by far the best nachos around and serve as a proper meal! Still, big portion just for one. Thumbs up on the super rich chili and the superb guacamole. Had the chance to try the fried chicken waffles and it was also very good. Really liked the special maple syrup.
Amazing every time! Dillingers has a super atmosphere, good tunes, yummy food and tasty cocktails. Good value too, I love the nachos especially on Tuesday's when they're only €10! Really tasty nachos, lots of Guac, cheese, sour cream and beef topped with lots of fresh coriander. Other highlights include the chicken and waffles for brunch (delish!) and there's usually an interesting starter to sample! Love this place and highly recommend!
I am reviewing as per my visit in 2014.....
Dillinger's is an American style diner inspired restaurant with the long green bar across the room, the high stools nd tables.....
There is a great cocktail menu with plenty of options but i went for 777 Margaritas.......
On the brunch menu you really have the classics such as American pancakes, French toast, a fry or eggy options like eggs benedict or Norwegian eggs. Then you have some signature dishes such as their brunch nachos, Dillinger’s burger, a merguez shakshouka nd chicken and waffles. Prices range from €11 to €19 nd portions are huge....
The margaritas are excellent......
I ordered 1) the smoked salmon hash browns (€13),,,there was a massive amount of smoked salmon topped with two perfectly round eggs covered with a habanero hollandaise sauce,,,,,2) slow cooked pork belly hash (€12.50),,,it was a mix a succulent pork meat mixed with roasted peppers, served with poached eggs and hollandaise sauce nd a small side salad,,,,, 3) i was so starving when i got there, i also ordered food i didn’t really need, a portion of chilli beef and cheese fries (€5) which were excellent,,,i have to admit,,,,, but couldn't finish......
Dillinger’s is well worth a try for brunch if you’re looking for a funky spot with good tunes nd a lively atmosphere. Their dinner menu is a little bit more eclectic with a mix of different cuisines featuring like tuna tostados, a mezze plate, a Killer curry special, steaks, and piri piri prawns etc etc.....
Wonderful dinner at Dillinger's in Ranelagh, with friendly and efficient service and hugely generous portions!
To start, myself and a friend ordered the nachos main to share. Holy god they're big but so delicious! The nachos are without doubt the best nachos I've ordered in a restaurant to date, with generous helpings of guac, sour cream, salsa and really tasty chilli beef. We had to force ourselves to stop eating about half way through these to make sure we could fit our mains!
For mains, my friend ordered the chicken which she really enjoyed and I had the sea bass which was even tastier in my opinion! It came with small potatoes and a delicious sauce with peppers and onions etc. The sea bass itself had a nice crispy top and perfectly flaky inside.
Overall, we were really impressed with the food and service and we had a really enjoyable night. We'll definitely be back - and now I know exactly where I'm going next time I get an urge for some nachos!
I've been here on two separate occasions, once to eat their super nachos at the bar and then last weekend for Saturday brunch.
I'll cut to the chase: Dillingers' super nachos are the best nachos I have ever eaten, and I have eaten a lot. What ever they do to get the smoky meat and bean flavour is pure magic and I wanted to lick the plate clean. There is plenty of everything and the plate is big enough to share. The nachos are perfectly balanced with generous amounts of, guacamole, salsa, sour cream and melted cheese, but not too much to drown out the smoky meat and beans.
The brunch menu was great as it had such a variety and I wanted to order lots of things (I find some brunch places have really limited menus). There was plenty of veggie options too. I went for the short stack, American style pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. The pancakes were perfect and they were a really good size. There was plenty of bacon too but I thought this was a little too crispy for my liking. The maple syrup had quite a mild flavour to it. I would have liked something a little stronger to balance the salty bacon but over all these are some of the best pancakes I have ever had in Dublin.
I also ordered the shakshouka of baked eggs with Merguez sausage, feta, Swiss chard, spinach and tomato sauce and it was absolutely outstanding. Such flavour, a really great spicy kick to it and a great sized portion. Probably my favourite brunch dish in Dublin. I'm already planning my next trip to order it again.
My companion ordered eggs Benedict and he said they were good, but they just didn't look nearly as exciting or drool worthy as the pancakes or shakshouka.
The coffee too was really good. So the three dishes, one coffee and one coke came to just under €40 and I think it was well worth it. I was stuffed but more importantly the food was so so tasty.
The place too is gorgeous inside and has a great vibe and super nice staff. I love sitting at the bar here as it is just so casual and fun. This is one of my favourite places in Dublin as the food is so good.
Hangovers are never a good thing, I think we can all agree on that, but they can be helped. I went to dillingers with a buddy after being out and drinking approx 4 gallons of gin the night before. We were in a hoop. It was Sunday morning, the place was packed and yet they managed to seat us in the space of 5 minutes with a big smile. Bloody Mary time.
I'm a big bloody Mary fan and this was the biscuits. Good balance of spice and savoury flavaflavs and garnishes with pickled chili, quail egg and hot bacon. These would set you up war. This was followed by the dillingers fry, which was so enormous that I had trouble finishing it, but so delicious that I did, all while the bloody marys and banter with the staff flowed nicely. Can't wait to come back as I was constantly getting food envy on the tables around me. Go less hungover than I did. Be civilized, but go.
Dillinger's in Ranelagh is an excellent choice for brunch. I've eaten there a few times and I couldn't fault it in any way. Funky vibe, excellent service and the food is amazing! I ordered Shakshouka eggs, my friends offered American style pancakes with bacon and the Veggie Grill! It was so f ing good. Another favourite of mine from Dillinger's brunch menu is the Smoked Salmon Hash Browns! Oh holy moly!!!
Arrived with a huge contemplation of what to have from their great menu. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. I went for their famous super nachos and my boyfriend had the steak and eggs which looked so tasty. I have had the nachos is taco taco before and these ones are way better! The only thing I was unhappy about was the €4 each paid for a very small glass of orange juice. Which was mostly full of ice!! Bit of a crazy rip off but other than that, all I can say is I need to get back here ASAP. And I'll pass on the orange juice next time!
Great brunch spot. The menu is wide and varied with dishes like smoked salmon hash browns that I haven't seen elsewhere. I got the shakshouka which was delish!
Finally got to try out Dillingers and their infamous nachos. A special mention must go to the guacamole - incredibly tasty stuff! Pity I had to share with Rob McDonald :P
If there's one thing you should get when you go to Dillingers it's their Nachos. Best in Dublin by a long shot. The portion is huge, so it's a good idea to share (it's nice to share as well!). It's got a cool vibe and the staff are great. They also do great drinks and cocktails on top of the food (which other than the Nacho's is great as well!)
Zomato kindly gifted me with a €70 voucher for Dillinger's (delighted) so I went along with 2 friends last night. I'm still stuffed! Dillinger's is a lovely little spot in Ranelagh. While there's not too much action on a Monday I hear it's hard to get in the door at the weekend, especially for their famous brunch. I ordered the tuna tostadas and the butternut squash side. Both of these dishes were absolutely incredible! So tasty, unique and great presentation. Seriously enjoyed them. On friend got the special prawn curry which was also gorgeous. We got the chilli beef nachos to share at the table and they did not disappoint! So good, so indulgent. Great guac. We were stuffed walking out of the place! Thank you Zomato and Dillinger's, I will definitely be back.
Had the super nachos, and wow they are amazing! Tortilla chips with plenty of chilli beef, guacamole, melted cheese, sour cream and salsa! HUGE portion that could easily feed 3 people. All for €14. Others had French toast with bacon and they give you so much bacon with it. Really good value for quality food and big portions.
Visited Dillingers for a late Sunday brunch yesterday. Everyone raves about it and so I was looking forward to going.
First off the Bloody Mary was epic, it's as spicy and delicious as it is aesthetically pleasing! I had baked eggs and feta and my buds had pancakes and eggs benny. Everything was really tasty and the service was good. Recommend trying here.
Went for Brunch on Sunday , I got the Steak & Eggs and brunch cocktail. Really nice buzzy place with great staff . Definitely will be back !
I've been here twice and got the El Gringo nachos on both occasions - they are that good! My friend got the classic burger - portions were massive. Nice atmosphere and staff are really friendly and attentive.
Went here Friday night, was early enough so we got a seat at the bar. Had fantastic tuna tostadas with Chipotle aioli, avocado and crispy onions to start and my boyfriend had mushrooms on toast, both delicious. Mains were a burger and chilli fries, both very tasty but couldn't help feel the chilli might have had a bit too much smoked paprika and it was overwhelming. The desert was warm chocolate mousse with salted caramel ice cream, basically was just a chocolate sauce with ice cream but still very tasty. Coffee was OK. It's a nice casual spot and good size portions. Good efficient friendly service too. Will definitely be back.
This is a great little spot for a weekend cure... Bustling but not too loud, darkened but not to a ridiculous degree with a lovely vibe that's upbeat but chill at the same time.
Both options we ordered were great, the menu has lots of American inspired dishes including the pancakes & bacon I ordered which was perfect.
Have been meaning to try here for ages and finally got to pop in here for brunch. Great , busy little spot. Great buzz about the place. I got the huevos rancheros and my boyfriend got the steak and eggs. Mine was really really nice but there was ALOT of it! Staff were really friendly! My one negative comment about the whole experience is a small one but I also heard the couple at the table next to us comment on it also, is that on the menu it says a 330ml soft drink but when the drinks arrived my boyfriends drink was 330ml but the diet coke I ordered was only a 200ml bottle and cost the same!
I've been here a few times and loved it each time. The service was was really good and the staff were very friendly. The food is so tasty, especially the nachos and Mac and cheese. Would definitely recommend
Great portions and everything is always delicious. The brunch and the dinner here are both lovely. The margaritas are potent, even on a full tummy! They don't skimp on the tequila, that's for sure!!
Went there last Sunday for late dinner. I am a huge fan of steak and Dillinger's one certainly did not disappoint! It was truly delicious . My boyfriend ordered loads of food and loved all of it as well. I will be back for sure!
Had breakfast here a little while back and went for the pancakes with bacon & maple syrup. Absolutely great. Best pancakes I've had in quite a while. Also tried some homemade lemonade. Delicious!! Definitely need to call again!
I've only had a lunch in Dillingers but I absolutely loved it. They haven't updated their menus with allergen information just yet, but the waitress knew her stuff. I had the nachos and they were amazing! The chili is rich, the guacamole is just right, and the nachos are crunchy corn goodness.
They'd some tasty cocktails to accompany the lunch. I'll be back to try more of the noms! Hopefully they'll get some markings on those menus soon.
Came here for a birthday dinner for himself. It was a surprise as he is obsessed with burgers and it was highly recommended. I had booked a table and I would recommend doing so as the place was packed. It has a very downtown New York feel with the big bar and the booths. Also whoever picked the music was a legend!
So we were both starving when we arrived so quickly ordered starters- I got chicken fried oyster sliders they were okay could have gone with more of the slaw as they were quite dry but the house crisps on the side were a nice touch and I would have eaten a whole bag of them. The main man got the wings to say my eyes were green with envy was an understatement I managed to grab one before they were all gone, and it was beautifully seasoned in chilli, lime and a sweet dressing.
We also got a few drinks, they have mainly craft beers and they had one cider on the menu that was 7.50 which I felt was very overpriced so I opted for the wine instead.
As we were still raring for more food, on came the mains. The birthday boy got the burger which was succulent and juicy on a nice bun and the chips were average.
I got the nachos which would have been enough for the two of us they are HUGE! The chilli was filled with flavour and the added smokiness was a lovely addition. Also the guacamole was fantastic and you got a heap load compared to most places giving you a small spoonful. I'd say we only got about halfway through the nachos.
We were far too full to get any desserts maybe another time.
I have been here twice, the first time I had the hake special
And it was superb, my boyfriend had a steak and loved it. The seating at the counter was slightly tight and uncomfortable. They do great margaritas here too! The second time I went I had a sea bass special with black beans, this dish really wasn't good, it was sticky bbq sauce on fish, which I thought spoilt the fresh fish but perhaps this would be to other ppls taste (southern American type cooking). I didn't eat much of it and the staff notice and were so good as to not charge for the dish. I thought this was a very decent of them particularly because my boyfriend tasted the dish and said there was nothing wrong with it. Great Staff and well trained! I will be back
I have been here for dinner a number of times. Lucky to have had a booking each time as it is quite small and is always packed - which is a great sign in itself.
The Yellowfin Tuna tostados are a favourite of ours. Nice spot for a casual meal.
Have been here for both dinner and brunch, both excellent. They're often quite busy, and I have seen queues to get in for brunch! Nice drinks menu and cocktails, very friendly staff.
Had heard really good reviews about this place so I decided to try it out. The place was pretty empty when we went so there wasn't a great buzz about the place. Had the nachos to start which were delicious but the size was way to big even for the two of us! Got the Southern fried buttermilk chicken as a main and everything about it was fantastic! Really tasty. Will definitely be returning at some stage soon!
Really nice staff made it an enjoyable night. In terms of cocktails go for the "Green Street", a delicious gin-based cocktail with cucumber and apple liquor. Food was v good - we went for 2 starters and the nachos which was plenty. Great place and highly recommended.
Dillingers is a really popular little restaurant in Ranelagh. The menu is full of my favourite foods, falafel burger, nachos & guac, fish tacos, avocado salad so was excited to try it. Had crusty baked bread with aged dubliner cheddar fondue & smoked bacon to start which on it's own was delish... Had the falafel burger with avocado, cucumber & yogurt topping, also very tasty. An added bonus was 2 craft beers for only €8 which was a nice surprise. Really good food, really friendly staff vas great experience. Have also heard rave reviews re their brunch so will definitely be back!
We had a super Sunday brunch here sans toddler which was a rare occurrence since we tend to stick to family friendly spots. This place was a treat for us adults only, slick interior, Latino tunes blaring, cocktails at 11am... yes please. My husband opted for the eggs Benedict and stated the hollandaise was the best in Dublin, hands down. High praise!! I went for the pancakes with bacon and maple syrup. Super fluffy pancakes and literally a pig worth of streaky crisp bacon. Coffees were great, we will certainly come back to try the cocktails next time. Nice work.
Went here for breakfast at the weekend! Its a lovely modern diner style restaurant, nice atmosphere and friendly service. The Dillingers fry was really good, slightly on the expensive side but very enjoyable and the coffee was really tasty! The hash brown in particular is really amazing and the sausage was delicious! Only complaint was the amount of toast which was one slice of bread each and we had to request as I think they forgot to bring it out. Other than that, the service is really sharp, constantly refilling water and on the look out for customers in need of something! All in all a very pleasant experience and would highly recommend, worth the few extra euro's!

Given a choice of meals to go out for I’d usually opt for dinner. It gives me an excuse to get dressed up and head off into town for the evening and enjoy a few drinks. But Brunch seems to be getting more and more popular these days so last week we decided we’d ditch the dinner date and go for Brunch instead.
There’s SO MUCH choice for Brunch in Dublin right now and we were spoiled for choice looking through the menus online. I always seem to be out and about in town so fancied somewhere different and as I love Ranelagh I had a look at the restaurants around there. I think Ranelagh is the most perfect place for grabbing a bite to eat… such a great mix of food genres from Pakistani & Eastern in Kinara Kitchen to burgers and wings in Tribeca. One place I’d heard of but never been is Dillinger’s, sister restaurant to The Butcher Grill (also in Ranelagh) and 777 on Georges Street. So after looking at the menu, it was decided Brunch would be in Dillinger’s! They serve it Saturday and Sunday from 12 – 4pm.
About lunch time on Sunday we arrived to an already busy Ranelagh. This place never stops! We managed to nab a handy parking spot and as it was a Sunday it was free…. A bonus, as usually you can easily add an extra €12 quid onto your day if you want to park in Ranelagh. The restaurant is on Ranelagh main street and after walking in to a packed house we could see their location and good reputation really get the crowd in. We were asked if we wanted to wait for a table or sit at the bar – I love bar sitting so we plonked ourselves down and got looking through the menu.
First off was drinks. E was driving (again, one day I will drive us around I promise!!) so I was free to have a proper drink :-) The cocktail of the day was a Campari Mint Spritz, Campari, mint, cranberry juice & prosecco (€8.50)… an obvious choice!
E was trying to be a bit healthy and went for a juice from their Healthy Side menu called Salad Days (€4.50). It was made up of spinach, carrot, celery, radish, red pepper and lemon. Drinks arrived and mine was lovely and refreshing. I hate to say it but I don’t know how E drank that juice…. I’m not used to those kind of drinks and I’ll choose the Prosecco every time!
So onto the food! There’s a really great selection on this menu – Dillinger’s fry (containing every breakfast item possible!), Crab Cakes with Eggs, Omelette, French toast, Steak & Eggs, their famous Super Nachos, Eggs Benedict, a Bacon Sambo a Burger or a stack of Pancakes were most of the menu choices. I’ve heard a LOT about the Super Nachos and so was very tempted to get them but in the end I decided to have something I couldn’t make at home and went for the Crab Cakes with Eggs (€14). E being all manly and stuff went for the Steak & Eggs (€18).
We placed our order and I had a good look around the place while we waited. It is definitely more diner than restaurant but not your Eddie Rockets style. The interior is slick and shiney and the staff were equally as great… efficient and friendly without being OTT. All in all a pretty casual place that still feels like a treat to go to.
When the food arrived we were both impressed. I got 3 crab cakes with salad, 2 poached eggs and a little side of aioli. It was served on a beautiful plate with pink flowers…. Very unlike anything I’ve been served food on in a Dublin restaurant!
E’s steak arrived with 2 big poached eggs and some home fries and salad also. He’d asked for a pepper sauce instead of the Bernaise and they were happy to give him that instead.
We got stuck in and not much was said for the next few minutes while we both devoured the food. The crab cakes were amazing, lovely and crispy on the outside with super soft crab meat inside. The poached eggs were perfectly cooked, nice and gooey when cut into, just how I like ‘em! :-)
Of course I had some of E’s steak and apart from the fact that it was super well done as he likes it (I like a rare steak) it was yummy, really good quality meat. We both thought it was great food and good value especially the steak option as it was a pretty generous portion.
We skipped dessert and E had a cappuccino which he said was really good… much as I want to like coffee I just don’t so I usually just get another glass of wine :-)
We didn’t hang around as we had a GAA match to watch in Smyth’s up the road so the total bill came to €48.00 with a nice little smiley face. I really enjoyed brunch in Dillinger’s and I will most definitely be returning for the Super Nachos :-)
Really nice place for a meal, went with a group of girls and the atmosphere is the best thing about this place. The interior has just been done up so it has a very nice feel to it. The staff were really friendly and attentive but not so much so that they made you feel uncomfortable. Can’t fault the food either. I got the nachos, overall a great night would definitely recommend this place.
From the same brilliant owners as Super Miss Sue and the Butcher’s Grill, Dillingers is American influenced grub; steaks, ribs and burgers galore in a gorgeous dining room. They excel at nachos - they’re a meal in themselves!
Brunch is a speciality (especially with gin cocktails) and a place to be seen of a Saturday. After you’ve stuffed yourself to the gills, take a stroll through Ranelagh and enjoy the village buzz.
