A nice and friendly place in the neighbourhood. The starers were not that great (Tikkis and fish) but the mains were delicious. I liked the cocktail range, however Maharani cocktail was nimbu paani (Lime juice) and not upto the expectations
Hands down my favourite restaurant in Dublin. Always amazing food with brilliant service in a gorgeous surrounding... albeit with slightly dodgy music. Came to celebrate another year aging and enjoyed 2 courses and a Bellini/glass of wine for €22. Stunning, perfectly flavoured and full of nomnomnoms!
Lovely Atmosphere, great staff and great food! Had the Tikka Masala which was very tasty but will definitely try something a bit hotter next time!
Booked a table here for 7pm without realising the early bird would be available for us, and at 21.95 for three courses we were amazed!
Poppadoms were put on the table to start which was a nice touch - the chutney was lovely. To start I ordered the chicken which was a little spicy for me, probably would have appreciated a bit of yoghurt dip on the plate to cool my mouth! However it was really tasty and beautifully presented. I also tried the beef which was melt in your mouth quality.
For main, I ordered the chicken murghi which was delicious, I can't fault it! The mains come in cute little pots too. I tried the vegetable korma which wasn't really my cup of tea - so creamy it was almost cheesy.
We got ice cream for dessert which was homemade pistachio and vanilla with a bit of crumble and raspberry coulis on top - way above the standard of your normal ice cream.
Overall, I'm really impressed with the quality of food in Kinara Kitchen. The service was also great and the restaurant has a very classy feel to it. The early bird menu was slightly limited (as expected) but it includes fish, beef, chicken and lamb in both courses which is more than enough.
Went here for Valentine's Day lunch, and it didn't disappoint! I love their sister restaurant kajal so felt I needed to try here too! They had a set menu for €21.95 which included starter and main and either a glass of wine or binniti - which is a prosecco based blend of strawberries and other fruits! I love spicy food but it was so tastey as well as hot! I opted for the chicken main (biryani) which came with chips on the side, not sure what they were made of but they were delicious! Before the starter they served us an appetiser too of poppadoms with delicious sauces - one was like sweet chilli and the other was fruity, think it might have been passion fruit! Would definitely recommended here for any spicy food lovers! Couldn't give it the full 5.0 because I think the food in kajal is just a bit more varied but was fab all together!!
Kinara kitchen is delicious! Went there on Friday night and had been recommended the crab claws started by a friend so we shared a portion. They were seriously good, really juicy with a lovely fragrant tomatoey sauce and side salad. For main course I had the chargrilled seabass, he had the temater aloo gosht (lamb) and we shared 1 garlic naan and 1 pilau rice! All of the food is so flavoursome and more-ish we were stuffed after it! The cocktail menu here is also great, all in all a really lovely experience! ☺️
The food and service here was amazing, I couldn't recommend this place anymore!! The waiter helped us choose the food to our liking and it was perfect!! It's a little expensive but more than worth it for a treat, would come back in a flash!!
Ate here on Friday with some friends and couldn't recommend this place enough!
From start to finish the food was absolutely delicious with huge amounts of flavour.
The staff are so friendly and welcoming! The place was buzzing, even after 9 when we got our table!
For starter we shared the monkfish and the squid rings between 4 of us, this along with the lovely fresh poppadoms was plenty as the portions are very generous! Both were delicious, in particular the monkfish was excellent!
For mains we shared 4 different dishes, 2 chicken a lamb and a beef- all were so fragrant! We got 2 naans and 2 pilaf rice and this was plenty.
There is a lovely cocktail menu which are reasonably priced given the quality.
The price is not cheap but when you consider the quality of ingredients and cooking, I think we paid approx 40e a head
Worth every penny and I will definitely be back!!!
A very highly rated Indian in Dublin and I LOVED it as soon as I stepped in as we were greeted by a very traditional Indian doorman.
I heard the cocktails were so good so I went for the elderflower daiquiri. I tried the mango pomegranate too and they were both so tasty. My favourite place for cocktails is fade st social but these were just as good!!
The menu offers a huge choice of food. To start I had the Tandoor Junghi. The prawns were so fresh and came with a delicious garnish.
I was starving so felt like a creamy curry and went for the Makanwala Murghi. This was too much for me and was very filling. I much preferred my boyfriend's curry, the nahari gosht with chicken which was much lighter and had a touch of spice to it. I want to come back here to have that as my main
For 2 cocktails, 2 mains and one starter the bill came to €80 which was on the pricey side. You pay extra for rice and naan bread. We had garlic naan bread which I loved and thought it really complemented both curries. This is a really nice place to come to, to treat yourself to both excellent food and excellent cocktails!!
Love this place. We always go in for the early bird menu. Staff are super nice and the atmosphere is very cosy and relaxed. Menu is great value and food is plentiful. Don't think we have ever been able to finish everything. Staff go over and beyond. I ordered a watermelon cocktail. They had no watermelon so the barman actually went out and bought some so he could make the drink. Not many places would do that for you.
One of my favourite restaurants in Dublin. Staff are always helpful and give incredible recommendations of dishes. They are also very open to altering dishes to a desired meat or chilli preference. The cocktails are incredible as well! Can't fault it.
Couldn't fault this restaurant. The staff are exceptional, they make you feel very welcome and go over and above what is expected. There is a great choice on the menu and i can honestly say i have never had a bad meal. The Bhuna Jhinga is currently my go to main - perfect prawn dish with the right amount of spice but not too overpowering. The standard of the cooking and presentation is second to none. A must go.
I have been here quite a few times, never disappointed always great food and service! They also have a good cocktail menu and their G&T's are massive, not going to complain about that!
Lovely spot in Ranelagh!
Kinara Kitchen is one of my favourite restaurants. There are just so many great things to say about it. The decor and atmosphere is great. There is always a good buzz, but even when busy, it never feels overcrowded. The staff are so accommodating and friendly. The food is incredible. Really great portions and so many options on the menu. In addition to this, the cocktails are amazing! Such variety and some great desert cocktails (try the Toblerone - you wont regret it). Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone.
Let me start by saying that I am a staunch supporter of Kinara Kitchen, so this was always going to be a positive review. However, in the interests of fairness, let me justify my opinion.
First of all, the food here is excellent with a good mix of tandoor dishes, curries, vegetarian options and sundries. I'm addicted to the champ plate (marinated tandoor lamb chops) but I often go for veggie options like the bagan aloo or palak paneer. I do love the fact that in Indian cooking, vegetarian dishes are often every bit as good as the meat dishes.
Secondly, there's an excellent cocktail menu available (courtesy of the team from the cocktail bar Upstairs @Kinara Kitchen).
Thirdly, the decor and atmosphere are comfortable and relaxed. The furniture and fittings are high quality and the service offered by Ranbir and his team is just top notch. Over the years, I have been served continuously by the same people, which is surely a good sign.
Final thoughts: High quality Indian food, excellent cocktails and super service
Absolutely a must for anyone who likes Asian / Pakistani / Indian flavours. We had a rare marital date night here and it is the perfect spot for a romantic meal or a big celebratory get together for family and friends. We started with a cocktail upstairs which is a little bit like going to Narnia through the coats in the wardrobe, but it's a gem of a cocktail bar with seriously talented mixologists. The elderflower fizz was ridiculously good.
Back downstairs to dinner and it was quite literally a feast of flavours. When we go out for dinner we tend to order with a "go hard or go home attitude" so ordered what felt like 32 little pots of dliciousness.
We started with the jumbo prawns which were served with a light salad, beautifully cooked and lightly spiced prawns. For main we went for one of the chicken dishes which is a mouthful to say so let's just say the milder oft the chicken dishes and we ordered a large mushroom bajee which is like a spiced and fragrant mushroom stew . I would literally get up In the middle of the night for this stuff. As sides we had bombay aloo, pilau rice and garlic nan. We were stuffed like prized pigs after but wow was it worth it. Service is superb, staff are attentive and really friendly. This is the perfect one stop shop for fabulous food and cracking cocktails. Top marks for this lovely restaurant.
This is an amazing restaurant with unbelievable food and a really interesting speakeasy style bar upstairs which is hidden away. Would highly recommend this place as the food is spectacular. The cocktails are perfect also!
Kinara Kitchen Ranelagh have really set the bar for Pakistani and Asian food in Dublin - the murgh tikka masala is absolutely sublime and the menu description doesn’t do it justice. Every mouthful is a dream, complement your meal with one of the amazing cocktails made by mixologist extraordinaire Paul Lambert and you won’t be disappointed.
