Nice place in Smithfield square. Mainly italian food. Very friendly staff and the prices are very good. This Tagliatelli was amazing but I found it difficult to choose because everything on the menu seems to be very good
Been here for lunch, it's close to work so very handy! Had their chicken salad which was just ok, nothing unique. The staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. Their menu and wine list were slightly limited. It's a relatively small place but it still felt bright and fresh even though the place was jammed!
Was very happy with our lunch here. Staff were very friendly, brought water to our table straight away and service was fast! I will be back for lunch again!
If the weather is good this place is so nice to sit outside, with a small seating area located directly under the Jameson tower which sets a nice scene, I didn't spend much time inside as the weather was brilliant but the interior also looked quite nice, The one thing that really impressed me about this place was the service, we had water brought out to our table straight away without even having to ask and the staff were extremely friendly and very efficient. I had the chicken caesar wrap, which was nice although I would have preferred slightly more dressing as it was just a tiny bit too dry, the other person with me went for the pulled pork sandwich which also looked nice, food didn't take long and was very reasonably priced at only 6 each, would definitely recommend, especially if the weather is nice!
We were looking for somewhere for a nice casual Sunday morning breakfast so decided to try Sparks. What a pleasant surprise! This little bistro is right in the heart of Smithfield square and is relatively new. It is described as Irish Italian fusion. We were greeted with a smile by the friendly staff and lead to a comfortable and spacious table.
The breakfast menu is small but by no means limited. Options included full Irish, eggs, omelettes as well as croissants and pastries. We both went for the full Irish and it really is a FULL Irish! The amount of food you get for €9.95 is very generous and lots of toast as well.
They have a little area towards the back of the bistro which is somewhat secluded and would be perfect for a larger group. I didn't really get much of an Italian feel from the breakfast but there are lots of pasta etc options on the dinner and lunch menus so I can't wait to return and try them out.
Stopped here for the first time on a quiet Sunday morning for a filling breakfast and was not disappointed.
The music in the background was European easy listening which added to the sense of calm created by the comfortable seating. No easy feat considering Smithfield Square is a few paces outside the door.
Decided on the full Irish and got a good amount of food for the just under a tenner paid. 3 sausages, 2 rashers, 2 fried eggs, 1 black 1 white, 1 tomato, mushrooms, quartered fried potatoes, beans and a mountain of toast. Only comment was on the beans which were a little underdone to my taste.
Will definitely be returning to try brunch, lunch and/or dinner here on the back of a very tasty breakfast.
I've eaten here a few times. Lovely place, food is simple and really tasty. Really good value for money. Early bird in particular is reasonable and you'll be full up leaving. Service is friendly and efficient.
Lovely food, good service and brilliant value. Nice selection of meals from salads to pasta dishes to traditional Irish meals, beautifully done. Looking forward to sampling everything on the menu. Nice addition to the area.
