I truly genuinely love this place. The food is sensational and if you love a good bottle of wine let Christian choose it for you, he knows his wine better than anyone I know..if you want to impress a group of people for a special night out , this is the place to go, it will never fail to impress you and your party
Honestly the best restaurant experience of my life. The service is outstanding, the staff is incredibly nice and professional and the food.... Extraordinary. Highly recommend it for any occasion!
Outstanding. Exceptional food, very attentive staff. Very reasonably priced food and everything is up to the highest standards. Amazing option for vegetarians. Highly recommended. I am a foodie plus nutritionist, so a bit fussy about food. I had lunches and dinners there two days in a row. And will proceed, but needed to go home.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Dublin....great food & staff! Have been there a number of times and always had a great meal....highly recommend it!
The best Italian food in Dublin, their Raviolis are always amazing and the poached pear dessert is so tasty. The staff are so good at making you feel welcomed and looked after. I've visited five times so far and have never been disappointed.
I had to post about the amazing night we had in Il Vicoletto last week. I had booked the restaurant for a surprise group dinner for 12 people for a special occasion. I booked a 5 course wine tasting and food pairing experience and it was FANTASTIC! Christian and the team were brilliant, so accommodating and could not do enough for us. We had such a great night! The wine was really gorgeous and all the food was delicious, calamari, pate, antipasti, ravioli, ragu and tiramisu. Thank you so much to the Il Vicoletto team for making the night so special. Can't wait to come back really soon!
What a nice experience, warm reception, good choices including creamy burrata, mortadella ravioli and smooth Italian wines. The most important from my point of view was anyhow the friendly and professional staff creating a pleasant atmosphere -the restaurant is super and highly recommended, yes!
A wonderful Italian restaurant with the best ravioli I have eaten, and that includes Italy.
Such a warm and friendly atmosphere.
Wishing you every success, Maria Buckley.
My favourite Irish Italian restaurant, it has all the atmosphere of an authentic and busy trattoria. It's always busy so booking is essential. The food and staff are excellent with full marks to Eric for charm and efficiency. I love the place
Would recommend to anyone going to Dublin. Authentic, great food, excellent service. The open several bottles if wine for us to sample prior to decide, complementary of course. The food recommendations were spot on, not to mention extremely good

It’s s small, very quaint Italian Restaurant. The staff was wonderful. Especially Gabrielle. Food was delicious Wish I found it sooner
Polished friendly incredible service, high quality delicious food, best Italian restaurant in Dublin, mouthwatering menu
A great gem of a restaurant service was warm and friendly food was amazing a must place To go if your in dublin
Amazing food and even better service! The best panna cotta I've ever eaten. Everyone I was with thoroughly enjoyed their meal, from the vegetarian to the non-cheese eater we would all highly recommend.
I was recently in il Vicoletto for the third time. I love this restaurant and it disappoints me that I could only give it 3 stars this time!
Me and my boyfriend went for an anniversary meal as it was our favourite restaurant.
The service was great as usual with the Italian waiter reciting off a very long list of specials and explaining what they were.
We ordered a bottle of the house red, presuming it was Italian. The waiter explained that they had none of that wine left but offered a substitute which was Spanish. I thought this was strange for an Italian restaurant, especially since they have a long wine list and must have so many nice Italian red wines to choose from! However I thought the wine was delicious although it was very floral so maybe not to everyone's taste.
I ordered the parmigiana melanze, or aubergine parmigiana. I had this before and loved it, and this time it was still very tasty, although it had been heated up and was not very warm in the middle.
My boyfriend ordered the pate to start, which comes with lovely toasted sourdough. However the pate was presented more as a pile, rather than a slice, so didn't look very appetising.
I ordered the vegetarian tortellini special for my main, it was tomato flavoured pasta filled with ricotta and a touch of herbs, in a creamy Parmesan sauce. Really rich and delicious, this did not disappoint.
My boyfriend ordered the veal cutlets with a lemon sauce and potatoes. He said that the veal was tender and tasty, but found the portion very small and the sauce a little overpoweringly lemony. The portion did look tiny, perhaps they could add some more potatoes or vegetables. I also ordered a side of potatoes which never arrived.
We both had the chocolate fondant for dessert, we waited 10 minutes for this as advised on the menu and it was very nice and beautifully presented, although the fondant could have been a bit lighter.
Neither of us were very full up after the meal and felt a little short changed, the bill came to almost €80 even with my boyfriend getting the set menu, and I felt this was a little expensive for food that wasn't top quality.
We we're charged for the forgotten potatoes but the bill was quickly rectified when we pointed it out.
Overall, service was still excellent and pasta was beautiful, however a bit more attention to detail is needed!
Came here on a recommendation and ended up leaving very disappointed with the overall meal and experience.
Despite having a reservation for 7:30pm we were not seated until 7:50 which is my PET HATE for a restaurant. If a booking is for a certain time then please have the table ready or at least offer as a drink while we wait. Instead we were left standing at the door for twenty minutes and if it weren't NYE we would have left and found another place to eat.
The food was average and over priced for what it was although the atmosphere in the restaurant is great.
Feels a little like a tourist trap and there are plenty other Italian restaurants around that do it better and cheaper.
Italian food done well is probably the best type imo and Il Vicoletto represent just that! The staff offer a very attentive and comprehensive service - make sure to ask about what type of Ravioli is on the menu for instance as they differ throughout the day. They will go to various efforts to make sure you are drinking wine the way you like and what's best is that they offer an all day/night set menu for €25, you wouldn't need to look elsewhere!Calamari starter is probably the best I've had!
One of my favorite italiens in Dublin. Absolute hidden gem located just away from the noise of temple bar. The inside is small, but dont let that decieve you. We had a lovely Scottish waitor, who is amazing at recommendations, let it be wine or food.
We tried the meat and cheese platter to begin with bread; and it did not disapoint.
I had the spaggetti with ragu sausage for mains, which was INSANE! Literally one of the best pasta dishes ive ever tried. All homemade pasta, all three dishes were as good as the next.
Dessert was the chocolate fondant, simply amazing and fantastically cooked.
Having travelled most of Italy with my family, my parents know Italien well; and they say this is the best theyve tried.
Already planning my next trip back!
Hands down, the best Italian restaurant in Dublin. Get ready for a taste of heaven...
The tiny cutest Italian place hidden in temple bar. With authentic Italian cured meets, cheeses, superb unforgettable dishes and incredible selection of Italian wines. Pleasant comfortable atmosphere, really cozy place.
Knowledgeable staff full of suggestions on food and wines. Never disappointed with this place. Absolute gem! 💓
Il Vicoleto is a popular one for my work crew and so I went along to check it out. The place was very busy and clearly popular. Our waiter was a friendly Scotsman who dished out plenty of good advise on what to choose, wines to go with the food etc. I went for the tortellini starter which was one of the specials that day. It was a good choice! I also had a bit of ravioli from one of the others and that was nice too, although a tad too creamy for me. For my main course I opted for the Linguini alls vongole which was again a choice I was pleased with. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the flavours beautifully balanced. The portion size was very generous which meant I could only finish half of it! The wine list was very impressive and I thoroughly enjoyed our bottle of lightly sparkling white. Overall a pleasant experience but I'm an adventurous foodie and this was just overall a wee bit dull for my taste!
True authuntic italian cuisine on crow street. Went here this evening for dinner. Lovely atmosphere and staff. You get a basket of bread with extra Virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar at the beginning. We ordered a bruschetta to share for starter. It was loaded with garlic which a love. Mains were a whole seabass and a sausage ragu with grilled veggies and potatoes. All were perfectly seasoned and really spot on in taste. Brian also had a glass of red. Bill came to 51.20. Left feeling plesently full and not at all guilty. (Which I can sometimes feel after Italian food).
Nice small Italian restaurant. Good starters ( recommend the calamari). For a main I've had seafood pasta which was really nice and tasty. Tiramisu was bit tasteless as for the Italian restaurant
Perfect spot in temple bar to taste authentic Italian food. I've been here several times and I never left disappointed. It's a bit pricey but you pay for what you get: high quality!
Il Vicoletto was recommended to me by friend from Parma. And her being from Northern Italy I took her word for it much to my delight. It's a small little restaurant in Templebar just on Crow St. The food is beautifully put together. I had the chicken liver pate to start with red onion marmalade. It was devine. I could have ate it quite happily all evening. And for main I had the linguine with clams and cherry tomatoes. Dessert was sticky toffee banana pudding with ice cream. All for €25 for a Saturday night in Templebar. Amazing value. They also have an a la carte menu too. The staff were lovely also. I tried my friends calamari and it was the best I've had. Very crispy and in rolls instead of rings. Loved it. Great evening altogether.
This is a great little restaurant, food is really good as are the wines on offer. Staff are extremely professional and efficient. My favourite dish here was the calamari which I've had in plenty of places before but not to this standard (I didn't realise calamari could be this good). We only went here as we got a voucher for Christmas but it was definitely worth a visit and will go again and again.
