Very nice place to eat. The food is beautiful. I like Thai food a lot and the chef knows how to cook it in here! The staff is very friendly. Very nice surroundings as well. Highly reccomend to pay a visit to Chilli Banana. I'll be back if in Dublin!
Chilli Banana had been recommended to me and I love Thai food, so it was a perfect choice. We sat upstairs as it was full downstairs, this worked out well as it was quieter upstairs and myself and my friend had a lot of catching up to do. We ordered the combo for starters which was lovely. The waitress was very helpful and when we asked for her opinion on a dish she knew her stuff and took us out of our comfort zone and we tried two very tasty dishes. Highly recommend, fantastic setting, great food and service.
Great location, friendly staff and wonderful food. I had the vegetable spring rolls to start, delicious pastry and such deliciously cooked vegetables. Then I had the classic Chicken Pad Thai - absolutely gorgeous with a side of vegetables cooked to perfection mmmm. Also had a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc : fruity and zesty !! I would come back again ☺ 10/10
I have been to this restaurant on a couple of occasions. I really enjoyed the food, great staff, great atmosphere and great prices. I will definitely go back.
A hidden Thai gem! Ate here recently with 5 friends. We had a fantastic evening, sat for almost 3 hours with absolutely no pressure on us to hurry out. Although it seems this restaurant could easily be missed, there were no free tables by 8 o'clock and some people without reservations were even turned away! There was a relaxed atmosphere and the decor was so welcoming and warm. Staff were clued in, helpful and more than pleased to converse with our table. The menu is extensive and all 6 starters and main dishes that came to our table were mouth-watering. We finished with 2 chocolate fudge cakes to share among us, and although presented beautifully, they were not up to the same standard as the starters and mains! On saying this, it is important to bear in mind we were like stuffed turkeys from our big meals which probably did our appetite for the cake no favours. It had no impact on the enjoyable evening we spent here. Cannot wait to return!
My parents and I were in Drumcondra one evening and stumbled upon this Thai treasure. I love Thai food so I was more than happy to eat here however they were a bit hesitant. The restaurant has a nice modern interior and the atmosphere is chilled. The waitress was more than happy to help explain a couple of dishes on the menu and narrow down our decision. All three of us thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to returning.
