Excellent food. The Irish whiskey and cider was great. Service is excellent. Great atmosphere, not too crowded. The staff were very friendly. Price is very decent. We had the fish and chips.
The duke was our first stop in Dublin. It was close to Grafton Street where there is a lot of great shopping and pubs and restaurants. I had bangers and mash, the service was fast, they had a good drink selection. I really enjoyed this place. Nothing bad to say about it.
The Duke is an excellent choice for a central meet-up - unlike other pubs in the vicinity it never seems to get too crowded (but is never too quiet either) and their drinks prices are reasonable for the area too. The staff are very capable and pleasant, and lounge service is usually available too.
I had the black pepper chicken, the pub itself is quite nice, it has a nice atmosphere. In terms of the food, not a bad pub meal, the black pepper sauce was probably the best part of it though. The veges tasted a little strange and the chicken was a little bit dry.
The duke is a great pub for catching up with friends or after a few after work drinks. Music is generally low if any at all. Nice pint at a reasonable price and located off grafton street (duke street) so very central if you want to move on later. Screens for sports too and always busy due to its after work drinks nature. Lots of seating, just a nice classic Irish boozer.
This is my favourite place for a sunday carvery in town . Hearty food and really generous portions. Ive never had any complaints about the food and the staff are very helpful and usually offer to collect your carvery for you so you can sit and relax. When town is really busy its rge perfect place to stop in and grab a bite to get away from it all
